Clay County definitely needs to drop to 3A, as long as they don’t get another juggernaut like Johnson Central (not sure what you do with teams like that. The others just can’t compete). As someone mentioned above, there’s a group of 3A teams in the area that could make the Tigers very competitive with and it would pay dividends on positivity with the program and community down the road. As more and more people decide that moving to Laurel County is the cool thing to do (from all surrounding counties) [not a shot at any specific kid, it’s just reality for SEKY], places like Clay have to maximize what they have.
