From an outside point of view covering the past 8-9 years of pikeville football could some one please explain the progress the program has made over the past 3 years. Looking back on the previous coaches record on the Khsaa web site I found 3 regional championships in 6 years and 2 other loses in regional finals. Pikeville with it last hire only made it to the regional finals this year 2007 under the new staff.Was the talent down that much? Many things have changed in class 1A from then to now. I see some support for a current coach on staff from the head coach that just quit, but no one has issued any statements of sucess on the field or for the program itself.

This is a good post. And the coach you are talkin about, Chris Macnamee(sp.) was and still is a **** of a coach. Had he stayed at Pikeville they more than likely would have won another region championship, maybe 2 or 3.
