The reason Powell went away from the belly is because Bourbon shut it down.

We ONLY threw the ball 7 times with 4 completions and 84 yds which most came on 2 of the comp. Bourbon threw 6 times and comp 2 of them for 59 yds. We ran the ball 37 times. We ran the belly all night for 213 yds versus Bourbon's 179 yds on 44 carries. Powell had 297yds total yds on 44 plays which is 6.8 yds per play. Bourbon had 238 yds on 50 total plays for 4.8 yds per play. Powell out played Bourbon but Bourbon held on to the ball. End of story.

Bourbon has had those kind of nights were they out gained an opponent in offensive yardage but still lost....Bourbon faithful still congratulated the other team on a good game. No crying or sniffling about what if,we sucked it up. End of Story!!!!:Thumbs:

Who were the powell players that were playing dirty??

Hard for me to believe Powell players playing dirty.. They are the classiest bunch of boys
that has played at Garrard in a long time. My hat goes off to both teams... Still say
that it will be a D5 regional final...
