If you want to send your kids to a private, that's your choice. But shielding them from the real world doesn't help them in the long run. Comparable educations are offered by Louisville public schools (Male, Manual, Ballard, PRP, Butler to name a few.) Using test scores to compare private vs public schools is apples to oranges. How many private schools have 50-75% of students qualifying for free or reduced meals? Public schools are for everyone. The schools can't cherry pick their students.
