Top 10 United States Presidents

"Busines as usual" may be distasteful; however, the comparsion fails miserably, as NIxon's behavior was an impeachable offense (justified).

You do realize Clinton was up for impeachment too, right?

Nah, TIdeHoss, that slipped my notice... for what? Did getting "jobbed" in the Oval Office rise to the level of NIxon's masterminding? Nixon, basically, in typical paranoid, distrustful vein, sought to choose who he would run against...sought (and succeeded for a season) in thwarting the democratic process. If that's where you stand, so be it. However, it is revealing.

I was making a simple point. You want to talk morals and presidents. Your party has a couple of doozies themselves. Perjury is still perjury, no matter how many squirrels chase the wheels of skybox airplanes in the month of Februaric moth calenders.

You were making a simplistic point, which is different. Your comparison fails because the levels of offense do not match. A man who kills fifty people exceeds the man who kills one. Murder is murder, true enough... however, the magnitude rises to such a degree as to change the level of the offense.

Are you sure you're sober enough to know the difference?

Well I guess I could, but considering all things, that seems to be most appropriate.

If you are on the high road, then you must be lost. I have never seen you there before.

That's more like it. The troll returns to his rightful place below the bridge on the low road - or is that where ogres reside, I get my ugly trolls, ogres, and socialists confused.

You have to remember Hoot, that DW sometimes gets confused when he speaks. Actually what he is meaning is that he would like for you to join him and be "high"on the road.TongueirateShoTongueirateSho

As this seems to be where all the actual discussion and not just lame score posting is, I am stopping in to say "Hello" to everyone.

Welcome to the forum. Political discussions (and debates) are always more enjoyable with a steady flow of new blood into the fray.

FYI....Hoot, if I remember correctly Ring favored Hillary in the primary, not that there's anything wrong with that. :yikes:

Just kidding Ring.
I was going to vote for Hillary myself in the Indiana primary but decided against it at the last minute. Of course, my motivation for considering casting such a vote was a little different than the reasons that Hillary's supporters voted for her.

This country would have been much, much better off with Hillary in the White House and Republicans would still have been in position to retake the House in November.
