I don't think so. Who gets the ball in close scoring range for this team? Bell very predictable

well if bell is so predictable i guess that means that player must be a all american cause bell continues to put 40 plus on the board every game.. Really dont see this game being any different 42 -21

Very good observation it has been that way for how many years now:please:
The problem is stopping it and not many have.:thanks:

Which was the point of my first sentence... Nobody expects us to win but our players. And really they are the ones who need to make it happen.

This game comes down to one thing - Davenport. Stopping him is next to impossible and what will likely be our defeat. But, if we find a way to hit him that will be a new experience for him. If we don't contain him; if it becomes the "watch Davenport scamper show" then we will share the same fate as our predecessors. Sure, Bell has a nice little passing game this year - but its only a set up for Davenport and not what they will beat a team using. Davenport is the key.

Football1 Wrote:But they are coming to our field to play the best Central team that has been in the 10 years I have been here.

Easy big guy we don't know that yet? I still say at this point the 08 team is better. Better skilled players on offense, Nearly the same type team in the trenches and better in the LB and Secondary postions. This per some of the Coaches.

Bell County can fly! Knox Central can really pound you on the line though. I say that if Davenport can bounce outside this one gets ugly. If he can't get through the line, it will be Bell County by 15.

My prediction is Bell County 35-19
#38
TongueirateShoto say knox has the advandage in the tranches isnt true...if anything its a tie in there... bell hs a big offensive linen that is not afraid ti hit you no matter who you are....

and bells d line....is highly underated...they dont pile up tackles b.c not their job..but cant friday night we will see 6'3 240 justin patterson and 6'0 235 david hoskins all offer the feild...:redboxer:...and our d line will make sure KNOX's o line stays off the betst linebackers in the mountains

So Football1 you think if KC stops Davenport they win? Bell has a couple of other weapons too.

Most of the KC players were not even out of diapers last time KC beat Bell I don't expect that to change.

Trivia question who many regular season district games has Coach Hilton lost at Bell in his career?

Bell will find a way to win.
#40
Bell Co wins 28-7

Knox pulls out a close one.
#42
#9 Oslonian has really stepped up his game this season, He has turned into a heck of a football player and a dangerous weapon for the Bobcats.

I will be making the trip up to Knox County this week cause i think it will be a really good football game.

My guess

Bell County 34

Knox Central 22

KC will be VERY LUCKY to score atleast 2 TD's on us. Bell's D is big and fast. I bet they want have 80 yards total on the ground against us. They will have to go through the air to score those 2 TD's IF they score 2.

Bell Co's Varisty D didnt even give up a TD against JC and JC has the better backfield with JJ Jude who ran for 200 yards against KNOX's defense earlier in the year.

:flame:

I would have to say Bell Co., wins big in this one.
52-7

knox 10 bell 7. knox goes to the wishbone and eats the clock up with ball control and uses the 5-3 on d and contains the outside while the line holds in the middle.....{in my world its old school}..lol

I have not seen Knox in the 3 back set in 3 years much if any. Can't remember when they did since?

It will be the passing game of Knox that will get us to victory. I think Coach Mills and Russell is smart enough to know we can't overpower Bell.

I think that this will be a very good game. But Bell wins in a tight low scoring game or Bell in a blowout. But don't see Knox scoring over 14. Very few teams can score 2 td's on Greer's Defense. With Alcoa the tennessee powerhouse being one..... But lets give out a very big shout out to Wayne Mills and Staff for what he has done to KC"S program.
#53
i think Knox has a really really good team this year. But Bell has a state championship type team with great senior leadership. It will be a game in the first hafe with Bell on top 28-13. I think bell wins it 42-13
#54
I think this will be a close game.

It seems that Hunter James of Lawrence County should be one of the top 15 rushers in the state. Through 4 games he has 45 rushes for 665 yards and 12 TD's. Averaging almost 15 yards a carry is good on anybody's team. I also notice there are no team stats for Lawrence County. How many other schools are not listed?

I Think Bells Defense will be hard to score on by ANYBODY.
Game will be tight for a while. Wink
#57
I am rooting for Knox in this game, but, I think Bell will likely win as I have witessed them firsthand this last week score at will on our boys. The line for Bell is a decent line, but, the second wave for Bell on defense is really something to contend with and the Davenport kid has to be the fastest high school running back I've seen in person. He gets around the end fast enough, but when he sees daylight, it's like he grabs for the overdrive gear. Knox has a huge line that should be comparable to Bell's and maybe even better, but, their corners are going to have to be extraordinary to keep up with the speed in the Bell backfield. The game will hinge on how well the Knox defense holds Davenport in check and how much they can soften up Bell's secondary with their passing game so they can establish the running game where the box isn't loaded up. Good luck to the Panthers against a very good Bell team.

Then I would disagree with our esteemed coaches. This team has a better QB, better Recievers, just as good RB, way Better DLine (except we don't have a Monroe); OLine is close and Maddog and Bailey are as good or better than Mills and Matt were. Canady fills the seat Greg left and this team does not make the mistakes that team made (ie the Corbin game). Even if Bell wins, as the world has predicted - this team will go 8-2 in regular season and (if we can beat LC - which will be all up hill) and Bell beats us for Region will still finish with one win more than the 08 team.

That is not taking anything away from that 08 team. They were excellent. But this team is better by a nose.

Bell will find a way to win.

Count on it - if Davenport gets hurt (God forbid), or is held under 100 yards Bell loses this one in a close game. He is to Bell what sugar is to fudge - the main ingredient. Sure, you need your peanut butter and milk - but take away the sugar and you just have brown sludge... Which is what Bell's offense would be without Davenport.

As (another poster) for your DLine having 6'4" 240 lb DT; I'm sure He is an EXCELLENT athelete and DT - but he will be leaned on all night by a true 6'2 320lb athlete raised on The Creek; fights MMA for fun; and logs with his daddy. Sure, he benches 320; but he tosses logs on trucks 3 times better than 20 other men. Better bring a snack.

Still, Bell is the 3TD favorite and if that happens I will yawn and go home happy to know the rest of the regular season will be satisfying set of demolitions for the Panthers. I spend no time arguing that Bell isn't the top 4A team in the state so if they beat us that is just what is expected. The stands will be full of nobody surprised.

But they have THAT to do first...

dawgbite02, It is up to the coaches at Lawrence County to submit those stats to the KHSAA.
