The Patriots’ pass defense has been vulnerable to the outside, with the Patriots allowing a league-high 17 pass plays of 30+ yards on passes outside the numbers. Over the middle though, the Patriots have allowed just 5 such plays, one behind the league-lead.

: Very little running room
01-22-2012, 05:16 PM
Edelman is being featured because the Ravens are putting a linebacker or safety on him
01-22-2012, 05:16 PM
Oher hobbling off the field
01-22-2012, 05:17 PM
Things are getting pushy in the trenches. Patriots are trying to prove they won't be pushed around

Rookie third-round pick Jah Reid is in for an injured Michael Oher. Reid struggled in the preseason and has been limited in regular season.
01-22-2012, 05:18 PM
Expect front side blitzes to test Reid ASAP

Ravens kicker Billy Cundiff is 11 of 20 on field goal attempts on the road this season

I bet Pats concede those type of routes to Smith all day

End of 1, Pats 3-0, but Ravens ready to score
01-22-2012, 05:23 PM
Quick-hit thoughts after the 1st quarter, with the Patriots leading 3-0, but the Ravens driving
01-22-2012, 05:23 PM
The Patriots allowed the most Red Zone passing TDs this season with 22.

You cant run short yardage against Wilfork

3-3 after the Cundiff FG
01-22-2012, 05:26 PM
I have no qualms about that decision at all
01-22-2012, 05:26 PM
Easy call there. Ravens have been horrible in short yardage all season, and the Ravens have had no success running up the middle against Pats today.

You can't risk losing points because of a tradition that says you should go for it.
01-22-2012, 05:27 PM
it would be Ravens 7-3 if Flacco had thrown a decent pass to Torrey Smith.
01-22-2012, 05:28 PM
Couple early personnel notes: Of 19 offensive plays for Patriots, 8 come in 3 WR/2 TE package. ... 8 snaps for Julian Edelman at WR, 4 at CB
01-22-2012, 05:28 PM
The longer the Ravens can hang around the better, can't allow themselves to get burried by the pats Offense
01-22-2012, 05:29 PM
Tom Brady has a 35.8 passer rating in the first quarter. Good start by Baltimore's defense
01-22-2012, 05:29 PM
Odd to see Green-Ellis running out of the shotgun like that. Unconventional running game for the Patriots lately
01-22-2012, 05:29 PM
Smart move by New England. Ngata wasn't in the game those first two running plays. Brady saw it.
01-22-2012, 05:30 PM
Brady just a smidge off on that one too
01-22-2012, 05:31 PM
Four-man rush by the Ravens there. Not getting any pressure.
01-22-2012, 05:31 PM
Fans don't like that call, nor does Welker. Lot of contact from Williams going downfield
01-22-2012, 05:32 PM
Gronk gets involved.
