Who Ya Got Jack Conway vs Rand Paul?
#1
This race is for Jim Bunning's Senate Seat.

You have Jack Conway (D) who is the current AG in the state running against the Opthamologist Rand Paul ®.

Conway has a strong stance against drugs, internet crime and fight against medicare fraud. Conway has stated some support for the Healthcare Reform Bill but has states it needs alot of work and refining. In previous months and currently he has opposed the cap and trade act. Also he has stated he would have voted against the bank bail out.

Dr. Paul is a Texas native who now resides in Bowling Green with his family and practice. Paul is the son of Ron Paul who is an original Tea Party member (better known as fiscial conservatives). Dr. Paul has stated he will cut the deficit (has not announced how). He is against the EPA and ADA also opposed the healthcare reform bill.

Both canidates are for keeping the Bush tax cuts.

So who you got? Lets keep this on the canidates and not anyone else this is about two men running against one another not what the parties stand for. Both have stated their position of being independent from their parties and will reach across the isle.

Jack Conway is an empty suit. If the people of Lexington and Louisville are dumb enough to elect him, Obama will have a another rubber stamp vote.

none of the above

It is going to be very hard for Democrats to win seats in all but the most liberal states (or districts in the case of the House). I think polls are underestimating how big Republican margins will be in November. The enthusiasm gap is huge between Democratic and Republican voters. Unless Paul is accused of a serious crime before the election, I think he has the race in the bag.

Don't be surprised if something against Paul comes from the gutter, Hoot. The Democrats cannot win on their accomplishments or on the issues. Therefore, the dirt will fly. Look at Meg Whitman. The October surprise will be lots of innuendo and accusations- none of which can be proven or, for that matter, disproven before the election. What other choices do the Democrats and the media have at this stage?

Conway has already been buried because of his support of Obama. Paul in a cakewalk!

I will not be surprised by anything that the Democrats try but I just think voters are finally fed up with their tactics. They passed through the "boy who cried wolf" with their bogus racism charges months ago and playing the race card at this point could backfire on them.

I watched Greta Van Sustren dismantle Meg Whitman's former housekeeper's attorney, the publicity ...hound... Gloria Alred, a few days ago. Mark Levin's interview of Alred was even more brutal. I don't think that the issue will cost her the election because I am not sure that she had a great shot at winning anyway. California almost has too many crazy voters for a sane candidate to win a statewide race.

Whitman will win or lose based on how many unemployed, angry anti-Obama voters show up at the polls. Those people are not going to be concerned about Meg Whitman's housekeeper but there may just not be enough of them in California to matter.

^ voters are fed up with our tactics lol? We had 8 years of republicans and we was in 2 wars with the economy broke in half. Cant wait to go back to the way they had it.........

You will get your wish, because more want what they had, versus what they DON'T HAVE! You may knock it, but your neighbor who voted in the frauds we have now will be voting, republican, not caring which way you vote:Thumbs:

Do you also know what the unemployment rate was while Bush was in the White House and Republicans controlled Congress? Do you know what it is now? If so, then you also know why Democrats are about to be swept out of office in a historic house cleaning.

And in a few years when the repubs tactics raise unemployment once again, here comes the dems again.

You are correct in your analysis, Hoot. Unfortunately, for each potential voter who watched Van Sustren destroy Allred and expose the plot, one thousand others were either sleeping, watching the Simpsons, or following the exploits of Lindsey Lohan and Paris Hilton. That is, of course, why Obama is running all over the country appealing to college students and the like to vote. He knows that they are almost completely unaware of the world around them (other than movies, music, and reality shows) and easily herded like lemmings over the cliff of ignorance.

I guess we will see, but the Elephants are getting ready to kick the Jack---- out of Washington!

That is all too true - and Americans are paying increasingly outrageous tuition for the privilege of having their children's heads filled with meaningless socialist double-talk.

Across the country, Democrats are running for Congress and carefully avoiding reminding voters of their party affiliation. That should tell anybody sitting on the fence in the election everything that they need to know about today's Democratic Party. Candidates are even using the tactic in New York, where Democrats enjoy a huge numerical advantage over registered Republicans.

Election night coverage in front of a TV promises to be the best entertainment ticket of the season - and the fact that it is free is just an added bonus. I may even re-subscribe to cable TV for a month just so I can watch those teary-eyed "journalists" covering the results for MSNBC and CNN.

Have to FIX what has been wrecked by the last majority, get back to the Happy Times from the previous republican administration. It's gonna be a very hard task Wildcat, but have faith, we will heal the ills that was brought upon you over the last several years of the democratic FAIL!

Ok, everyone the reason for this thread was to talk about the two running not Obama vs the Nation.

Based on the two head to head on policy why are you voting for which ever? I do not want to hear Obama's name one time from here on out through this thread. This shouldn't be a race between Obama and Rand it should be a race based on what Conway has done for the state already and says he will do vs Rand and his agenda.
#23
^ I understand, and even though I have been making light of it, unfortunately for Conway - Obama has everything to do with it. Conway has ZERO chance because of the lack of confidence in the President, which in turn has voters in droves committed to DRIVE the Dems out of office. I know you may want this thread to be specific to the 2 involved, but my friend, that is not how politics works in the 21st century. Right or Wrong, it is reality!

I am aware of that but I want to discuss the policies of each. If you can not discuss policy between Conway and Paul I do not think you should vote. If you are basing a vote on the political emotional fire storm against the President then you dont deserve to vote and yes the same statement goes for those who supported President Obama and were not educated on the issues. For to long we have seen our electorate become lost in the 24 hr new cycle. Our society is not educated equally on the issues and we have no one to blame but the elitest in America.

Please, if you all could just discuss their policies they have openly discussed.

LOL, if we required voters to know their candidates policies, do you really think Obam would be president! You are correct in your analogy, but unfortunately you are the MORAL MINORITY!

That was my point SD he catered to the emotions of the political fire storm, youth and minorities and won the primary and general elections.

Yet, you all also seem to be the apart of the "moral minority" so lets discuss the policy each have discussed and not Obama for once.

The Last Majority? Did i miss something the past 10 years? I dont recall Bush's terms being the highlife. Unemployment dropped when obama came into office. How exactly is that his fault?

There is absolutely no way for Conman -- I mean Conway -- to win. All the brightest people will show up on election day and Kentucky will have Rand Paul to be proud of for at least the next 4 years.

Wow this thread is an epic fail, no one on here can discuss issues all anyone wants to do is bisatch about the others party. This is why our election cycles do not work and that is what has allowed the US Goverment to become a corrupt globalization body.

Hardly. Corruptness is derived from the quest of greed and/or power and the williness do do whatever it takes to achive either/both.
