Congrats to the Cats on getting a much-needed victory tonight. This win vaults UK into sole possession of 8th place in the conference with a 12-13 record. Chris Rusin pitched well and they scored just enough to win.

As of now, they would get the last spot in the SEC tournament, but they can really help their cause with a sweep this weekend.

Good win, but UK has a lot of problems winning Saturday games. They were up 1-0 in the 5th last I heard but with our bullpen you never know.

Kentucky won the series today with a 5-2 win over UT. Series finale tomorrow, but UK is really coming together at the right time. They beat Wright State 21-3 earlier in the week.

It would be huge for the Cats to get the sweep tomorrow, it will give them a few games up on UT for the 8th place spot in the SEC with only a few games left in regular season.

UK won the finale today 20-5 in a sweep of Tennessee, moving up to a tie for 4th in the SEC. Series finale next weekend vs. Ole Miss.

Finishing up the sweep of Tennessee this weekend was huge. Like Alfus mentioned, UK is now in a four-way tie for 4th place with just one more series remaining before the conference tourney.

Still, they need to do well this weekend against Ole Miss. They could move up as high as the 3rd seed if things fall the right way, with Vanderbilt losing. Or they could even miss the tourney completely if they get swept, as Arkansas and South Carolina are nipping at their heels.

UK senior night will be on friday night at 6:30 against Ole Miss, then armed forces day on saturday at 1. Big weekend ahead for the bat cats. If they sweep Ole MIss it would be a big momentum boost going into the tourney. Good luck cats!!!!
