I think this one will be a hard fought game. Corbin pulls ahead late and wins by 7. 56-63 Corbin.

With Cromer playing so well and everyone doing their part, I think South wins by 7. Hopefully this game isn't a NFL game like Saturdays games.

Think South wins round 4 and the most important of the games. 68-63.

No dog in the fight, but I will take Corbin, Coach P, Andrew Taylor and his supporting cast! Division 1 players lead their teams to 13th region championships, and Coach P is best coach in the region. That adds up to a win!

SL will need it’s A game. The Cards had a tougher semifinal opponent, whatever that’s worth. Knox Central has been suspect since the Cumberland Falls Invitational.

P has won two regional titles ( 09, 2010) since South and North entered the 13th. But let’s talk about how Tony is the best thing since sliced bread.

After doing a little thinking this morning the key to south winning is.
1. Ryan Anders stay out of foul trouble and score over 16pts
2 South needs to speed the game just a little
3 Keep JJ Ramey in the game never take him out of the game
4 Mattrew Cromer dribble drive to the basket and shoot the 3’s
5. Logan Madden keep on be a warrior
6. Clay Weaver rebound, rebound, rebound and take all the charging foul.
7. Alex Hostettier ball handling could be big in this one.
Now the key to the game
Don’t let Corbin beat you with fast break points after rebounds
64SUR has never lost a game from the cheap seat.
Corbin football Posters i will be back on the sideline in 2019

Very difficult to pick. I’m a Cards fan and want them to win, but I know it will be tough. South by 3

Never understood why Coach P is thought of as unbeatable. Yeah he’s a great coach but slightly overrated in my opinion when looking at Region record

Tony P was pretty much owned by Steve Wright when the Cards moved into the 13th. He finally got a blowout win in the 2009 region championship and turned the tables on South the next few years. In the last 2-3 years, things have been back and forth. He probably has the longest tenure of all the programs, but his regional record is suspect.

Regardless of who wins, hate the Sweet Sixteen draw. Corbin/SL will get a tough, but very winnable 14th region opponent (Knott Co Central, Cordia ?), and then the winner of the 11th/7th. Scott County won’t be much fun, nor would Trinity if they were to advance ( assuming Trinity beats Ballard and Scott co beats LCA)

Walter, if I'm not mistaken I was sitting near you at the CFIT game between Corbin and Knox. A couple of great guys I met from Clay Co. were sitting behind me. After the CFIT game, the one guy told me that if Corbin-Knox met again in the region tourney, Coach P. would find a way to win the game. I saw the same guy yesterday at the Arena after the game. He said, "Coach P's the man!" He reminded me of what he said back in December. Like you, he also said Corbin would win tomorrow.

Pretty good since during that time North and South each have had almost twice the enrollment as Corbin.
That's a stat often overlooked. North and South should be the top two teams every year.

Playing the enrollment game, Whitley should be dominating as well, as should KC and Clay.
To your point, SL has won the region four times since coming in back in 2005-06. That’s not bad either

Said by the team whose last region title came mainly because of a transfer from Williamsburg.

As far as Corbin getting players from elsewhere, could it be that Corbin has the best school system? Always in the top 4 or 5 percentile in academics, it seems. Maybe parents want their kids to get the best education possible. Why on Earth would a parent choose to enroll their child in Knox County schools vs Corbin? If I was going to relocate and was choosing between Corbin or Knox County , there wouldn't be much decision-making there. Also, at Corbin you have a coach who is generally regarded as the region's best.
