Good for Grant! Deadly 1,2,3 punch (with Colwick) for Boyle. Hotchkiss was injured last year and missed the first half of the season. I expect people state wide will know who he is this year before the season ends.

What are you trying to say? Most talent, best scheme, etc.? If you are referring to talent I would suggest you are not even close. As for scheme, you could definitely make an argument. Having watched Boyle play on several different occasions I cannot think of one sack and really not even any pressure. I also did not see a need for many tough throws. I saw a lot of wide open receivers due to plays being set up well, good route running and good execution by the qb. ALL of which is only possible because of exceptional line play.

Somebody is a hater. Lol

Boyle has the best passing attack in the state.

Who has a better group?

QB - Lanter
WR - Smith
WR - Hotchkiss
WR - Colwick

The only reason those kids are any good at all is because of the OL play. 😉

Im not the least worried about Boyle's line play this year. Boyle has linemen that will step in just fine. It's not like the cupbord is bare! Boyle has linemen, just had to wait their time to shine.

Life is good and a great time to be a Rebel.

I am not sure why I waste my time commenting or responding to your posts. You take everything as a criticism of your team and make bold unsubstantiated statements about your team. I think Boyle is really good and will most likely win a couple more state championships with this group. My opinion is that they are really good at all three phases of the game, have a really good scheme, are very well coached and they play excellent team football. That being said, I do not think they have the best "passing attack" in the state collectively or individually. I think they have a very efficient and productive passing game that was set up by the run game and was aided tremendously by the offensive line play. If you think that's being a hater then so be it.

There are some people smarter than both of us that disagree with your opinion.

Schematically while effective Boyles pass offense is relatively simple. In yardage they weren't even in the top 20 in the state last year. As a matter of fact they were #8 in 3a. I don't think it is in the philosophy of Smith or Pardue to be much higher than that.

First of all you can't go by yards per game, etc. Boyle was up so much most games there were no passes thrown in half of the game because they wouldn't play past halftime. You need to look at attempts per game, yards per catch, completion %, etc. And second, I was referring to this season not last.

If Boyle decided to throw more or run the spread they would break records. Instead they'll just remain balanced most games and win.

Atta boy, don't let numbers and math facts get in the way of homerism.

How can you not when a running clock prevents you from utilizing a portion of the offense YOU are using to compare offenses. Lol

If teams are behind, they keep throwing. When teams are ahead, they stop throwing.

We stopped throwing.

The fair way to do it is extend our attempts to the amount the team with the most yards passing had at our completion percentage/yards per completion...THEN you get a more accurate reading.

Say what you want I promise you if you donít have line play somewhat similar to what you did last year when you show up at pond creek in November a passing attack will be the least of your worries. Iím not at all counting on a rematch between us I fully expect Belfry to be back to theyíre old ways and as good as Boyleís line play was last year it wasnít even close to what I seen from the Pirates two years straight

The most glaring statement Frank Martin made was about the Boyle talent in the passing game not even being close. The receivers mentioned are some of the most talented I have seen in Ky in the 50 years I have been watching high school football. The QB just won the competition in Louisville that featured 12 of the top QB,s in the state. Boyle has some other players that will be a part of their passing corps not mentioned that are super talented as well. The best in the state? That may never be answered. We sure can take another look at the end of the season though.

Whatís sad is that after the big pat on the back he gave your team thatís the only thing you got from it.

It's a backhanded complement on our thread from someone that doesn't know what he's talking about.

THAT is what's sad.

Only because you chose to take it that way, remember the whole state encompasses some mighty good football teams. Itís only a swipe if you chose to take it that way, apparently all of mine are back handed compliments too and theyíre never intended that way!! Not to worry Iíll never compliment Boyle Co again itís not worth the argument it entails to do so!!

You're probably right. Those Belfry lines those two years were filled with D 1 and FCS players and some smaller school players. Boyle had 1 or perhaps 2 that are D 1 last year or graduating soon but those were some awesome Belfry lines.

Dominant!!! It was the best line Iíve ever seen on a high school football team, Belfryís skill kids didnít have the talent of the skill kids at Boyle right now but they didnít have to have, just very well coached. I will say this however, that trap play you all ran brought back terrible memories!!

Belfry threw the ball 16 times that season.

Just sayin'....

What argument? I just couldn't believe it, you must have a son on the team or are a teenager to make that comment- No disrespect, but if either of those are false I would be shocked- Good luck to the Rebels
