Haddix is an excellent football coach. He deserves credit for what he has done at Corbin. But he took over a very good program that was 9-3 the year before, hired the best D-coordinator around and to his credit turned Corbin into a powerhouse again. This is his 5th year with his established program. Coach Hilton has taken over a dumpster fire that was 4-8 and basically had a year and half without players getting worked in the weight room. And in his 2nd year we already have an 11 win team going into Friday night. Both coaches have done an excellent job, but Coach Hilton has taken over a much more difficult situation than Coach Haddix.

I am not taking anything away from him, I am just saying Haddix took a team that was 9-3 but also lost some very key pieces. He made this program what it is today. Dudley didnít just come back and won 11 games, he made this schedule so he would win, he has only played one good team and a ok Casey county team. Not taking anything away from bell, you all are a good team and good coach. It just wasnít Dudley is back boom we won 11 games

Iíll have to look it up, see how he did his first 5 years at bell... If Iím wrong Iíll be the first to tell ya ol boy... or ol girl... wonder what excuse you are gonna have come Friday after the game, and you stay off BGR for awhile while the Hounds are still playin.. Jus like always, you go missing. I was At Breathitt when he came here. Was at Bell when he went there. I know a lil about him.

Thatís not even logical. Just because they are better at every position doesnít equal a running clock. If one spot is rated at a B+ and the other a B. Is there really enough to make that conclusion? No one said that bell county was horrible at the spots. Just Corbin was better. And I believe on most they are. Several are close. But your comment, and you know it too, doesnít add up. But since you obviously disagree, what spots does bell have thatís better?

No. To win 7 games last year was amazing. We were terrible the year before and looked to be worse last year before he came back. As for this schedule he did not make it. This schedule was made by Coach McCreary. Now next year's schedule will be one that Coach Hilton put together. In football schedules are typically made a couple years ahead of time.

They always have as many as Corbin does.

There isn't a program in the state that would pick Hilton over Haddix to coach their football team. Well maybe besides bell county. Lynn Camp might be the only team in Kentucky with an easier schedule than bell.

I agree because of his age. I mean you would be going through the hiring process again in a year or 2 so why would you?

Buddy youíre comparing apples to oranges. Dudley isnít either one of them, BY FAR. and yes to me it would apply. Am I looking for a quick fix? If so Haywood would be amazing. If Iím looking at long term for my program then no. Whatís 2-3 good years gonna do? Iíd invest in a young coach I know could win. Not necessarily haddix. But in general. If Iím building a house and you give me the countries best builder but he can only do work for a month. Or a young guy who can do great work and can finish it. Give me young all day every day

When he started at Breathitt, you could only play 13 games, even if you won the state.
I remember the first time I heard his name he was at Breathitt and they were pretty bad - he may have started the program. They lost something like 50-0 at Cawood in 75 or 76. By the end of the decade, he was beating Cawood and winning the district.
He got to Bell when the school opened in 84 and Bell had been something like 0-10 the previous year. Cawood beat them in 85, 86 and 87 to win the sub-district, but I think Bell went 8-2 or 9-1 alll three years (only one team per sub-district made the playoffs). Bell started winning the sub-district in 88 and won the state a few years later.
I'm not a Bell guy, but you have to guy Dudley credit.

I will get to game but first let me get this straight....you will take a young coach, not necessarily Haddix, over Haywood, Smith and Hilton? Say no more...LMAO

I see you know who to quote things. So read it all and not just the context that fits your narrative. Haywood and Hilton donít have many years left. So yea, if Iím trying to build a program for the FUTURE, key word, FUTURE. Then yes Iím not going to hire Haywood to give me 2 good years or Hilton. Iím going with a young coach I know can win that will be around long enough to see a full class through. Obviously you sound like the kind of guy who would take $100 today instead of $10k in a year, so say no more....LMAO

Plus you act like these dudes are some kind of miracle worker. Why donít you go back and look to see how long they coached before they won a championship. Iíll give you a hint. Quiet a while!
