Not ever really in doubt. Jumpers give up -1 on the ground and 54 in the air. Offense has to get better and it will. The talent is there, this bunch will be fine once they gel offensively.

Somerset's defense was very solid. The East Jessamine touchdown came when the Jumpers gave them a short field off of a turnover. Other than that the Jaguars could not move the ball at all. That being said Somerset has a long, long way to go on offense. The passing game has just flat out got to get better. It was near non-existent tonight. They could get away with that against East Jessamine but if the Jumpers are going to hang with some of the teams on their schedule they will have to be able to move the ball through the air. The offensive line struggled for much of the game but they seemed to start to find their way on the last touchdown drive. Hopefully that is a sign of things to come, they have the talent to be a very solid offensive line. As long as the Briar Jumpers can find a way to generate some offense through the air they should be very tough to beat--the defense is legit.

I got to watch a little bit online. As others have said, the defense hasn't missed a beat from last season. Offense has got to get better though if we hope to compete with the teams up north. Not a bad opener though.

Shouldn't have been this close. Congrats to the Jumpers though.

I figured this game would have a larger margin than it did. However, congrats to Somerset!

The Briar Jumper defense is fierce!! They remind me of the 2010 team that almost no one could score on until they put the JVs in towards the end of games!! This is going to be an exciting season for Somerset with Southwestern and Pulaski County being down this year, Somerset will have their time to shine!
