Default Is the US About to go Cashless?
Quantitative easing. Has a fairly innocuous sounding ring to it, does it not? According to many an economist, such measures as QE has helped to stave off depression and the like. And yet, the generally interest free global financial system in which we find ourselves, has created a major problem. Governments are strapped for cash. As a result, I read recently where the Obama administration is considering a tax on people who are holding cash. That means instead of a living off the interest which large deposits of cash have traditionally offered those fortunate enough to have it, one will face paying taxes. Further, to close that loophole, governments are considering the elimination of cash altogether. Thusly establishing a completely electronic, global financial system of which there will be absolutely no secretive transactions whatever, not so much as an item off the dollar menu at McDonald's. Citi Bank Chief Economist Willem Buiter certainly thinks going cashless is a great idea.
EXCERPT---
"The world's central banks have a problem.

When economic conditions worsen, they (central banks) react by reducing interest rates in order to stimulate the economy. But, as has happened across the world in recent years, there comes a point where those central banks run out of room to cut they can bring interest rates to zero, but reducing them further below that is fraught with problems, the biggest of which is cash in the economy."

The globalization of money has happened quietly and subtly right under our noses, and most have no clue that it has happened. With the coming of financial globalization, the stage is set for prophecy to be fulfilled. Without cash, money would effectively be digitalized, and there is only one way to spend money electronically. Numbers
Revelation 13:16-17 (KJV)
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."
Once money has been digitized, one's banking ID is assigned for life. All other forms of commerce will be outlawed. From yard sales to illegal gun sales, it will all be over. And the nations will accept it with gladness, heralding the end of crime. After all, one would certainly not voluntarily give up his banking ID to buy crack cocaine knowing the police would be there to bust him before he could even use it.

The Bible further predicts the total collapse of this world's financial system as one of the woes which beset men in the end time. Said collapse is certainly not so hard to envision in light of how thinly stretched our system of finance has become. And according to James, there will be no so-called safe haven in which to invest.
James 5:1-3 (KJV)
1 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

Better figure out how to raise a garden, preserve your fruits and veggies and "put up" your own meat!
