Default (9) Georgetown College 31 Campbellsville 24
Daric Pugh scored rushed for a tying and game-winning touchdown as the Georgetown College football team improved to 7-0 and 4-0 in the Mid-South Conference Bluegrass Division. This sets the stage for a potential winner take all showdown in Columbia, Ky. next Saturday.

GC played spoiler for Campbellsville University's homecoming in a thrilling double overtime win, 31-24.

Pugh capped off a 72-yard, nine-play drive with a two-yard plunge to tie the game at 24 with just less than four minutes left. When the defense stood tall on Campbellsville's final drive in regulation the game headed to overtime. GC intercepted to stall CU's first series, but had its own 27-yard field goal attempt blocked to force a second extra session.

Riley Hall hit Shawn Gilliam for a 20-yard strike to move to the Campbellsville five and Pugh did the rest. He busted in for a five-yard score his only two touchdowns of the day. The Pikeville, Ky. native finished with 95 yards on 23 carries.

Hall's two-yard rush opened the game and when Tyler Dummer hit a 31-yard field goal it was 10-0 in favor of the visitors. CU responded with 13 unanswered (two touchdowns with a blocked extra point). Hall engineered another Georgetown score and finished it with a three-yard pass to Ross Cox for a 17-13 game. Campbellsville finished the first half with a field goal to make it a one-point game.

The teams went scoreless in the third, but the home Tigers found pay dirt and their second lead when Hunter Brown hit Brayden Russell for a touchdown with 7:56 left.

Hall finished the day 20-for-36 for 218 yards and one passing touchdown and one rushing touchdown.

GC's ground defense once again held strong, allowing just 41 yards on 30 carries. However, Brown threw for 450 yards and two scores.
Jordan Nicoll led with 11 tackles, seven solo, and Dustin Haraway added 10 nine solo.

Lindsey Wilson College won 35-17 over Bethel University to improve to 8-0 and 4-0, setting the stage for a big showdown 2:30 pm CST Nov. 4 in Columbia. The winner would be in the driver's seat to take the initial Bluegrass Divisional title crown.
