Coach Hatcher is not going anywhere.
Denny Fugate was a great coach, but he did alot to get himself fired.

I may be wrong but I think you can add John Paul Amis to the list. He won the region back to back with Buckhorn in the 87-88 and 88-89 season and I think they were runner-up the following season. If not they at least went to the semis that year. Need to recheck to make sure though.

At Buckhorn we don't want to see this happen. Happy with John Noble on the sidelines here.

Several teams have won 3 (or more) consecutive 14th region titles...
Hindman ('42-'44) Pearl Combs (State Champs '43, Runner-up '42)
Breathitt County ('59-63) Fairce O. Woods (State Semi-finals ('61 & '62)
Hazard ('64-'66) Roscoe Shackleford (State Semi-finals '64 & '65)
Knott Central ('91-'93)

That was the 1st Region. The 14th Region is better.

He flirted with leaving last year from what I can gather from some reliabe sources. He is a very good coach and a school would be stupid if they had a vacancy and didnt go after him. He is highly respected and always has his team prepared.

Paducah Tilghman, Graves County, and Marshall County would be in the Top 5 in Region 14 EVERY YEAR.......

Those teams would be lucky to beat Cordia or Jackson City this year.

Usually region 1 is better than the 14th. Not this year, but most years they are.

I don't look for Spurlock to leave Clay Co. CC will be the preseason regional favorite in the 13th next fall.
