I see what the records are and know that Powell and Knott haven't played head to head.
But if you look at the teams they have played in common, I believe you would have to put them both @ #1. It doesn't really matter but just wanted to throw that in for what it's worth.

Everyone has there own opinion they could end up meeting either in Powell's Tanner Dodge Classic or the Region Tournament. KCC only beat Leslie County by 2, Powell Crushed Leslie 12-1. KCC Beat LCC by 11 (Both Games Combined) Powell County Crushed LCC 13-1 But KCC Beat Hazard 4-0, Powell beat them 4-1.

I'm anxious to see how it turns out. Estill hosting Region. First Time Ever in Baseball. I know when I was a Senior they were just starting to put up the lights and that was back in 2007.

Possibly. I don't think Estill will be looking for one. I'd say Coach Sparks will be here for awhile or at least I hope so, he seems to be a good up and coming young coach.

Breathitt lost to Montgomery County againm this time it was this past saturday 11-5 so coming into today's game with Estill, Breathitt is 3-12

It's hard to compare when teams play other teams because they have so many different pitchers that are used. They might of thrown their ace one game and the other team threw their #3 or their whole staff an inning or something. You don't really know how teams compare until they both throw their best pitchers. Should definitely be a good region though.

WE NEED BETTER SUMMER PROGRAMS IN THE MOUNTAINS FOR BASEBALL.....and until that happens, our region will continue to get embarassed when they go away from here.

i disagree with that. for one powell played lawerence county close and neither team threw a good pitcher. with the talent in the region i think the 14th can do good in state as long as the true numer 1 makes it and isnt upset but you know how it always goes. Tongue

this will be the final 4 in the region, everyone else is so weak it really doesn't even matter. When they throw their best none of the other teams can beat these 4. This region is so weak this year, they couldn't combine our top 4 teams and compete for the state championship. WE NEED BETTER SUMMER PROGRAMS IN THE MOUNTAINS FOR BASEBALL.....and until that happens, our region will continue to get embarassed when they go away from here.

You are crazy to say that you could combine players from the top four teams and not compete. Knott and Powell have great players that could play college ball for really good teams, maybe D1. That is just crazy. You must not watch many games these teams play.

i agree knott and powell both are very young but experienced team who as shown today with powell beating GRC can play with anyone even when they dont throw there ace. Knott really struggled last night which you could blame on the late game. It was 12 before anyone even left the park and knott and GRC had to go back to clark county and most the powell starters stayed and watched the game. i belive the next two to three years will be the prime of the 14th region
