There are two, and both brought in the new generation of television wrestler that we have seen since. Hulk Hogan allowed for the cartoon character performers such as the Undertaker and the Rock to have the careers that they have had and to follow in his footsteps. Ric Flair fathered the talker and worker character that put guys like Bret Hart and Stone Cold in prominence.

I'm not saying this because he just passed away, but Macho Man was gold on the mic! He could be credited for what a lot of the 90's and 00's wrestlers do! He always refereed to himself in the third person, like the Rock! He could flip out over anything at anytime, like everybody today. He could go on a bit time talk show (at the time) like arseno hall (twice) and pull what is one of the 5 greatest promos of all time!

And then of course there was Jake "The Snake" Roberts...anybody remember any of his promos? You knew exactly what the man was saying and he could use words and say things in a way that just sounded dark and evil. If anyone ever needed to do commentary for wrestling right now, it is him!
