I know all about Omar, as Montgomery Co is in our distirct. Great kid and good player. His mom played basketball for UK. In the AAU tourney at Indy he had one game where he was 9 of 10 from 3's and another game where he was 9 of 11 from 3's. He needs to get stronger and I am sure he is working on that aspect of his game. He should be the #1 player in the 10th region for the next 2 years.

Congrats to Mr. Prewitt. Always great to see a Kentucky kid get recognized. Should only go up from here. Good luck.

I saw him against Pendleton Co. in the 10th Region tournament and was impressed with Omar. This is cool to see another player get such high accolades from the 10th Region.
#6
Saw him play in a few games this Summer. The kid is an unreal shooter and is a good slasher at the rim. You will see him on the highlight reel a lot this year.
#7
Does anybody know if he has any college interest yet?

He is a 6'3 , G. Not sure on his weigh, but he is on the thin side and needs to bulk up some. Great shooter, deadly from the 3 spot. In the district final this past year against GRC, Omar played PG and he was their leading rebounder and scorer and just a Sophomore.

Posted on July 17, 2011 by Jody Demling
[Image: http://blogs.courier-journal.com/jodydem...00x186.jpg]The Ville 2013 is a travel team made up of players from across the state that finished second in the 16s division of the adidas Invitational in Indianapolis.

With the success, The Ville has been ranked as the No. 21 16-year-old travel team in the country this week by Five Star basketball. The Ville is the only team from Kentucky ranked in the 16s or 17s division.
New Heights, which won the adidas title, is ranked No. 3.

The Ville, led by Madison Central’s Dominique Hawkins, Montgomery County’s Omar Prewitt and North Oldham’s David Levitch, will play next in the Super Showcase in Orlando, Fla., beginning on Thursday.
Trinity’s Darryl Hicks is expected to play with The Ville again at the Super Showcase and later at AAU Nationals in Orlando.

10th is wide open this coming year, but I would pick the Indians as #1 going in pre-season.
