RUMOR: Possible Recruiting clinic for 14th coaches.
#1
There has been rumors spreading that a recruiting clinic for 14th region coaches is in the works. It is to help the lowly schools that try to compete with homegrown talent developed through their feeder programs, get into the 21st Century. Developing talent is a thing of the past. Recruiting is all the rave. A RUMORED tentative line-up has been discussed, but nothing is set in stone. It is suppose to cover both boys and girls basketball coaches.

(All speakers listed are just rumored, nothing factual)

On the Boys Side:

Keynote Speaker: John Calipari discussing recruiting at the collegiate level in Big Blue Nation and fighting to keep them off probation.

Other possible speakers and their topics:

Roderick Rhodes: How to get kids from the hoods to the backwoods.

Allan Hatcher: How recruiting can be a father/son bonding experience.

Randy Napier: How to take your neighbors talent when your feeder programs has gone to the dogs.

It is rumored that a lifetime achievement award is being presented to Hazard High School. It is titled "Sixty years of successful recruiting and still going strong".

It is rumored that training sessions will include such topics as:

1. How to skirt KHSAA rules through deception and/or political connections.

2. How to get your picture made with the big hunk, Julian Tackett.

3. Job Search - Using and finding jobs for possible recruits parents.

4. Foreign Exchange - How to establish a foreign exchange program overnight.

5. F to an A - How to turn a failing student into an honor student in 24 hours.

6. Physical Education Nation - Rumored that unnamed Representatives from the Breathitt County school district will discuss how you can have poor athletes attend 5 to 6 PE classes a day and keep their GPA up and graduate. This is tentative depending if school officials can be released from house arrest.

You are funny as h*ll!!!!! But you really need to make sure someone speaks on how to control your alumni's tongues so they won't get on BGR and tell everyone exactly what you are doing. You may also want to add something on how to train the boys you are recruiting so they know not to tell their friends, on open Facebook, how they were recruited and by who. These two things could help keep all the rest of your hard work from falling apart before season starts.

Good Point. I know I was forgetting something. I think one of the Perry posters would be a good trainer for that. They do a good job of keeping their mouths shut when it comes to their own dirty laundry.

Heard Pike Central Football Coach John Chapman has been invited as well to do a special breakout session titled: "Carpooling: It's Not Just About Going Green, It's About Helping You Make That Green"

Being put on probation and punished by the KHSAA disqualifies you from being a lecturer at this event. Lecturers are only for the ones who seem to get by with everything, no matter what the evidence. Coach Chapman is definitely not in the "IN" crowd. He can be an attendee as he needs to hone up his recruiting skills.

These post are funny but on a serious note they are all true. The KHSAA needs to quit turning a blind eye to whats going on and clean it up. Its not fair to teams that have worked the feeder programs for years to build them up to just get knocked out by a team and a school district that has given jobs to parents and recruited players to try and win. If the KHSAA doesn't think this is going on then they need to wake up.

Get serious!!! Its been going on for 50 or 60 yrs now. Its not gonna change. All the schools do it. Some are better than others at it. ITS HARD TO PROVE RECRUITING, its he said she said!!! Ive seen ppl tell the khsaa if front of the coach and nothing gets done. Its just to hard to prove.

Ok Lets get serious, you know its going on and I know it going on but the KHSAA can't do anything about it? Your point is all schools do it so its ok? Good argument...LOL. They could do something about it they just choose not to because they dont want to spend the resources to do so. And comparing today's recruiting to 50 or 60 years ago is just dumb. different time and different circumstances.
#24
Im not dumb at all!!!! Why is it different now?? Why is the circumstances different now??? The bottom line is to give your team a better chance to win. Thats whats its always been about!!! Its not different now just different yr.....
#25
Thats some good stuff there.

Not hard to prove ~ KHSAA just "CHOOSE" who they want to go after. Depends on if their FAMILY, FRIENDS, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, or BENEFICIAL ~ PLAIN & SIMPLE!

:please: Not that hard to figure out.

It's really not hard to prove in the case of the Cordia recruits. They got on their facebooks talking to their friends and admitted they were recruited. One was talking with friends about it all the way back in July. Admissions straight from the boys is pretty good proof to me.
