What's Happening to the Stock Market?
#1
From what I understand, it's either been gaining a lot of point or losing a lot of points ever since we passed the budget bill / were downgraded by S&P in August. Can anyone explain why this is happening?

It's been up and down since it bottomed out several years ago.

1. Economic issues in Europe
2. no clear direction from current administration on taxes individual and corporations
3. Spending out of control which makes for poor economic standing
4. Unstable North Africa and Middle East

the large investment holding are either staying on the side lines, investing in gold, or playing the short game in the market with little long term investing

1. Obama's economic plan is working.

2. See #1 above.

Obama is a socialist and when he promised to fundamentally change this country, he meant what he said. To establish the kind of society that Obama and his ilk desire, we cannot have a thriving capitalist economy. Look at where the administration is focusing most of its attacks...on conservative states that have weathered the recession well like South Carolina and Texas.

Obama's strategy is to spread the misery and blame the Tea Party and Republicans for the results of his actions. The 2012 elections should be an electoral bloodbath for Obama and every Democratic candidate who has supported him but there are too many ignoramuses in this country whose vote can be purchased with a small sum of borrowed Chinese money.

If you think things are bad now, just wait to see what happens if Obama manages to win a second term. We should start a pool to see who can predict how many crises Obama will declare as he attempts to scare people into electing him to a second term.
