What coach has the most losses?
#1
Is there anywhere we can look to see what coach has the most losses in the history of Ky? I often hear about the all time wins record, but have heard that Bob Schneider of NCC holds the record for both wins and losses. Can this be verified? He coached a long time and had some bad teams. Over the course of his tenure, that's a lot of losses. Just wondering who has steered their team to the most losses.
#2
Most likely it will be held by a highly respected and winning coach. In order to keep a job long enough to lose a lot of games you need to be winning some as well.
#3
My guess is a coach that has been at a school for years that consistently has a 6-5 or 7-4 record or something like that.

That sounds like Bob Schneider. Many many years of mediocrity.

I would think Dave Mitchell would have over 200 at Lynn Camp.

When you coach for 50 years, we will probably lead everyone else who has coached for 25 years in both categories!

Amen to that - Lefty is just trying to take a shot at his favorite target. He's was cut from cheer-leading at NCC and he has never let it go since!
#8
Idk about all time but over the past couple of years I would have to go with the coach from Jenkins HS
#9
^ Records like that will not allow you to stick around long enough to ever get the chance to get the all-time record
#10
Larry French has 170+ losses almost as many as Shneider.
#11
Id put Tom Searcy on this list. Im sure hes not lost to many but hes not had but 1 or 2 winning seasons if any.

Well if Kentucky keeps Joker around in no time joker will be the coach in ky with the most loses

IMO threads like these shouldn't be started. HS coaches or most coaches for that matter are highly over worked and under paid. If people want to criticize, let them step up to the plate and try it and see how they do.

College and professional coaches are different. They are paid enough that criticism comes with the territory.

Yeah, He'll never do the great job that Claiborne , Curry & Mummy did. I mean my God he's been here two years! What's he waiting on? How come we haven't won a national championship yet. I mean it can't be that hard to recruit to Kentucky with such a soft conference and a school with no basketball history. What was this guy thinking taking the job and what was Brooks thinking giving it to him. Some people just don't know their place! Even uppity if you will! I'm sure we true blue fans would want to see him succeed at a place more his speed like Kentucky State huh.
Get over it You Racist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, you must be one of the people who said if you didn't vote for Obama, you were a racist as well. Rich Brooks did ok under the same circumstances. Race has nothing to do with Joker or Obama criticism. Poor performance does.:please:

One, he's been here longer than 2 years! The players that are his ARE HIS! He recruited them beginning in 2002. So, it goes to show that he may have been the guy for the last 10 seasons of bringing talent to UK, but he sure as hell cannot coach them!

Two, Race has no boundaries to BAD coaches! Joker is the Football version of Billie Gillispie - Both are idiots and horrible coaches for Kentucky! Is that better for you! This is the STUPIDIST comment I have ever heard on here about Joker. Joker is a Joke and I wouldn't care if is skin color was GREEN!

That list is far from accurate, there a lot that are not on the list. Not sure why KHSAA doesn't have them.

So we shouldn't discuss which coach has the most losses?
#26
With tonights loss Phil Haywood is closing fast on Bob Schneiders loss record. Phil is averaging 3 a year. In another 21 years, which would mark his tenure at 57 years, there's a shot he will surpass Schneider.

That ain't happening. The loss record might not ever be broken.

I agree. Coach Schneider is a good guy from what I've seen and heard. I just heard he had the most losses and wondered if it was true or just something people were saying. It makes sense if you coach as long as he did, you're going to pile up losses.
#29
Not sure about most losses but the worst winning percentage would almost definately go to the Tigers coach with a 2-8 record every season for his career.

Well that narrows it down
