WWE Hall of Fame 2012 - Who will they induct?
#1
The only name I have heard for sure, just may have enough controversy to keep him from getting in. Abdullah the Butcher was slated as early as last year as an inductee. I just read something about him passing Hepatitis C to a wrestler that could cause enough controversy that gets the WWE to change their mind if their is any fear of media backlash. Apparently Abby has known for quite some time that he has Hep, yet he has not told his opponents. Though it's not known that he passed on the disease to others, I was quite surprised to learn of the number of wrestlers who have Hep!

Anyhow, that could change Abby's induction. So, who else could be likely candidates? IMO, it's time to put Randy Savage in. I know that Vince carried a lot of hate towards Macho Man for Randy leaving the way he did for WCW, but it's time to let it go and honor one of wrestling's Icons.

Do you go ahead and put the Rock in this year? What better location than his home town to do it. HOF does not mean end of career, as we all have seen with Hogan and Flair. Since Rocky will never be a fulltime wrestler again I think it works. Who inducts him? Stone Cold???

Arn Anderson would be perfect, but who would induct him? It would make sense for Ric Flair, but that would not happen with Flair in TNA.

We always get a celebrity - so maybe Mike Tyson? I think the WWE could be afraid of Tyson and what he might say, but he fits. Shaq works as well for both his work in WCW and WWE, but Shaq may be playing Basketball and that would not work.

Do you have any thoughts?

how about Mick Foley getting in? and for all the bad blood over the years....Vince Russo deserves to get in for his behind the scenes contributions. Id honestly like to see Triple H and the Rock get in the same year and be inducted by each other, after all they have had some great runs.

Mil Mascaras has already been confirmed to go into the WWE Hall of Fame next year.

Likely his nephew Alberto Del Rio will be the one inducting him.

Macho Man Randy Savage. IMO he is the greatest wrestler of all time.
#7
No brainer's this year would be Edge, Savage, and Rock.

I had not heard about Mil. That's cool. The guy was an ass, but he made Lucha famous to a world-wide audience.

Does anyone know where to find a list of all the past inductees? I have lost track of people that have gotten in. Personally, I'd like to see Barry Windham and Mike Rotunda get in, if they aren't already. Not as much singles success as most, but as a team ,they were huge in the early/mid-80s.

Others for consideration:

Vader
Rick Rude
Ultimate Warrior
Stacy Kiebler
Mick Foley
Paul Bearer

And for my thoughts on Macho getting in, they should instead make it Macho and Miss Elizabeth together. Since both are synonymous together in their tenure in the WWF, it would be a nice tribute to both of the deceased.

Rude should have already been in. We've had discussions on him before. It is an injustice that he isn't in there, already. Personally, I think the Bulldogs should be there especially considering what they accomplished as indivuals. Of course, Davey Boy did more in the states than Dynamite, but there is no doubt in my mind that Dynamite influenced an entire generation of smaller guys through his work in Japan.

That would be awesome, but who would induct them both.

I'm sure if they do want to induct Macho Man, they would want his widow to induct him...I'm not sure how she would feel inducting Savage's ex-wife.

To me, it's a no brainer - Ricky Steamboat is the one who inducts and and accepts in honor of both of them. He can speak to Ms. Elizabeth and her role in his feud with Macho Man and George the Animal Steele and then he goes right into a top three feud in Wrestling History discussing the famous Wrestlemania match. I don't think you have to present a plaque to any individual in this case. Macho has two other ex-wives besides Ms. Elizabeth, so giving to either (one being a porn star) a plaque is not necessary. I think they could make it work.
