KBA 2012 Boys 7th Grade State Tournament
#1
The tournament is on February 3rd, 4th and 5th.

The KBA site states there are over 50 teams attending and they are expecting 70 total.

Does anyone know which teams are playing?

Who do you think will win?

Southern Pulaski beat Northern Pulaski last year in the sixth grade championship.

Knox Central is a very solid team!!!

Knox Central has played Southern Pulaski three times this year. Southern has won twice - once on their home court, once on a nertral court, and Knox won on their court. These are the only loses for both programs.

Where was the neutral court at?
Both have good teams.

Knox Central has now played Southern Pulaski four times.
Knox won by 12 at Knox.
Southern won by 15 at Southern
Southern won by 1 at a Frankfort tournament
Knox won by 1 at Whitley County.
.
Southern has only lost two games this season - to Knox
Knox has only lost two games this season - to Southern
.
Hopefully they will meet again this weekend in Lexington.

I'm sure they will. I look forward to seeing this game.

54 teams total. Anybody know anything about Clay County?
#6
Can someone give me a scouting report on Whitley or Corbin 7th grade?

thanks

Clay County is above average.
They will likely win some games this weekend,
but would need some luck to get to Sunday.
The Sams kid #20, will be one of the best.
He is about 6'1 or so, very athletic, very quick,
will score anywhere he wants, inside or out.
Their other scorers are Fields, #34, on the inside
and Sexton #11, on the outside.
Got to respect Sams and Sexton for three
Sams is probably near the tallest, so no real height.

I see that these teams from Pulaski and Knox are winning on the middle school level, so what is happening to them when they get into high school??? I Never see these teams at the sweet 16 in Rupp??
#9
I have seen Campbellsville, Russell County, and Adair County this year.
Corbin is better than all three of those teams, and maybe a little better than
Adair. Whitley is probably better than Campbellsville and Russell County
but I think Adair would be better than Whitley.

They usually seperate some go on to KC and some go to Bville making both teams win some games but not good enough to compete for anthing beyond region. If they all went to one school and stuck together they could very easily win a region and compete for a state title.....

Looking for anyone that may have an answer...
Why is there 54 teams signed up for the 7th grade state tournamnet and only 6 for the 8th grade?

That list is not accurate. There is usually 60+ teams in the 8th grade tournament. We aren't on the list and we have registered.
