Top 5 pitchers in 15th region
#1
Since there is already a thread on the top hitters in the 15th, who are the top 5 pitchers in the 15th region?
#2
Lemaster should have the best year. Don't really know anyone else that comes to mind. I'm sure Central and LC will have someone coming up.
#3
Pikeville's Emily Hall should be at the top, as this is her senior year and 4th year as a starting pitcher, she should definitely lead the 59th. Also, ER's Christian Yates will be a young competitor.

Pikeville's Emily Hall won 20 games last year including only shutout suffered by Regional Champion Magoffin County, All A Champion 2 years in a row, district tournament champion over powerful East Ridge. She is a 4th year 17 year old starter having pitched in the last 2 regional tournaments resulting in a runner-up trophy and a final four loss last year to a very hot Magoffin Co.Emily has had a very young team surrounding her. Pikeville has only had 4 seniors total on the team during the past 3 years. Now with an experienced team, the Panthers will surely win 25 or more games again and be back in the Regional Final Four.Emily is the quiet powerhouse this year in the 15th!Confusednicker:

If PHS wins 25 games, they will be the real deal. The schedule is brutal.

I hear they have a transfer that will pitch for JC

Dont forget about Grace Mills at Paintsville. With her and Maria Lemaster Paintsville will have two strong starters to send to the mound. Coach Vanhoose has used Mills more at 3rd base because it makes his defense stronger but she pitched a one hitter against two different teams last year and her sophmore year at JC she actually pitched a one hitter against Paintsville at Paintsville before transfering there. Not overpowering but has good stuff and hits her spots

What about the girl from Sheldon Clark? If she put her time in this year she will be in the top three in the region this year.
#9
the young pitcher from magoffin co. hannah skaggs is taking the mound for them this year, she pitched extremly nice ball game aginst pikeville in the semi-finals of last years regional tournment
#10
Sophomore Christian Yates from East Ridge is coming into her own now as a dominant pitcher.
#11
The girl from pikeville is good a stronger offence and defense will help this year.
#12
Now that the season has started I'd have to say paintsville has the 2 best pitchers in the region.
#13
Let's don't forget Magoffin county's Hannah Skaggs she may be young but she will be and already tuff
#14
Heard chelsey Cole from magoffin was showing some really good pitching in the last few games...
#15
The best pitching this year so far has been from Pikeville and Johnson Central IMO. Two close games between these two teams, that matchup would make a great regional championship game.
#16
How are all these girls doing now that they have been playing?? Any stats??
#17
I've been told pikeville and paintsville #1and#2are pitching solid and magoffins 8th grader is holding her own...how about the other teams belfry, east ridge..Sheldon Clark...johnson central, Lawrence??

Hall from Pikeville seems to be gaining more confidence each outing. Seems she is throwing harder and throwing smarter each time she takes the circle. Could lead PHS to big things. Paintsville has strong arms, Skaggs from Magoffin and Yates at ER are tough young ladies that can be very tough to beat. JCHS, has the pitching and Hurt's girls can back it up at the plate.

Ive watched Pikeville 3 times this year and have to say their pitching didnt impress me all that much. Im disappointed in Magoffin Co I never get to see them play because they voted some kind of blind draw crap. Paintsville is so so. Havent seen east ridge butttt one thing is for sure Hurts girls got it goin on.
