After losing four straight earlier this month, Prestonsburg has now won five of six, and are back-to-back District Champs for the first time in a while. Congrats to Coach Simpkins and the Blackcats! They are playing extremely well right now.
Allen Central has struggled a little as of late, but got a nice momentum-building comeback win at home against Phelps late in the season, and fought back against Betsy Layne on Monday. They seem to be playing a lot better, just need to string some hits together and find a way to get base runners across the plate.
Best of luck to both teams next week in the 15th Region Tournament!
