Number of Americans Not Working at All-Time High - The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released its March unemployment figures last week, showing a drop in the overall unemployment rate from 8.3% (from the previous month) to 8.2%. That would indicate that the U.S. economy is headed in the right direction, right? Well, not exactly… Unfortunately, as we previously explained HERE, the monthly BLS ‘Employment Report’ (and its accompanying ‘unemployment rate’Wink does not take into consideration the number of Americans who have left the workforce and/or have simply given up on looking for a job.
