U.S. reverses stance on treaty to regulate arms trade

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States reversed policy on Wednesday and said it would back launching talks on a treaty to regulate arms sales as long as the talks operated by consensus, a stance critics said gave every nation a veto.

The decision, announced in a statement released by the U.S. State Department, overturns the position of former President George W. Bush's administration, which had opposed such a treaty on the grounds that national controls were better.

On Wednesday Obama Took the First Major Step in a Plan to Ban All Firearms in the United States. The Obama administration intends to
force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. By
signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms.

The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened. Obama can appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (in the United States) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws. Does that mean Obama is telling the truth? What it means is that there will be no publicized gun control debates in the media or votes in Congress. We will wake up one morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public. We will wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment.

This is not a joke nor a false warning. As sure as government health care will be forced on us by the Obama administration through whatever means necessary, so will gun control.

With everything else going on right now in this country...
- Economy in the sewer/Unemployment
- Crime rates at an all time high
- All the illegal immigration issues
- The 'gay rights' issue

Somebody lost their job, house... had to sell everything they didn't loose just to make ends meet for just a little while. Then on top of that, the only possessions they didn't sell were weapons passed down through their family. And your telling them they have to turn them over to the Government for destruction or face jail time.

Some people are just looking for any reason to start a major uprising.... this could be what sends our nation into another revoultionary war.

I don't know how things got to the point where the executive branch is able to get away with usurping the power of the US congress by just ignoring them or by executive fiat. For example, granting back door amnesty to children of illegal aliens aged 16-30, which are reported to number at least 1 million. And, that number has now swelled to 2 million, as the requirement for being a high school grad with at least a 50/50 chance of becoming self supporting, has now been waived. Or thumbing his nose at congress, invoking executive priviledge to protect his buddy Eric Holder, from being effectively investigated by the House Oversight Committee. I mean, when one can ignore the power of the Congress of the United States, we have truly backslidden into chaos.

But, here is what I think is going on. The folks that want to keep the federal government from imploding (the republicans), are trying to ride out the storm, which of course, is the present nightmare administration. While Obama is basically saying screw you, everytime the congress attempts to do their job and limit his absolute power grab, nobody was invisioning a US president willing to defy every law and every lawmaker, to advance an agenda so foreign to traditonal America. So, if we can get him out of office. Maybe we have a decent chance to heal the wounds and set ourselves back on the right path. And, begin to undo the damage once he's out of office. In the meantime, things could really go nuclear if we push too hard before the election. The dems still have a majority in the senate, and will consider only bills and business which advance the agenda of the left. Led by Harry Reid, who had no compuction whatever, in launching a blatant lie from the floor of the senate. In his astoundingly partisan act, and being emboldened by his corrupt afronts against the institution of the US Congress in the very recent past, he slandered Mr Romney by catagorically declaring he hadn't paid taxes for 10 years. I believe this action alone demands Mr Reid's resignation as Senate Leader. As I have mentioned before, the dems have labled the republicans as the 'party of no' because they are trying to resist the "fundamental transformation" promised by Obama when still on the campaign trail in 2008.

BHO wants to contol your health services and make you pay for millions of folks that wouldn't go to work in a pie factory. He wants to take your guns. This, and the fast and furious debacle, are clever attempts to manufacture a civil anti gun sentiment in this country. Where, despite his best efforts to date, gun laws have stood up to the withering assaults from the left. He wants to shut down the energy industry, and already has a heck of a good run-and-go at it. He wants to allow millions of aliens to immigrate in and the millions more already here to stay, so he can feed and clothe them, give them free college educations (free to them, you'll pay for it) and etc., so he can make life-long democratic auto-voters out of them. He wants to put the sovereignty of this land into the hands of peoples we once had to defeat on the the world's battle fields, by effectively surrendering the people of the US to the United Nations. He wants to homogenize our American society with the notions of social justice. Attaining the American Dream, is within months of disappearing for ever.

Anybody other than me had enough of the fundamental transformation yet?

I would love to see them "take" guns from a lot of people in this country.

This is one thing that would spell doom for the president, and im not talking about the election. You stay away from crazies, you dont force them to hand over the things there crazy with.
