Meeks signs 2-year deal with Lakers
#1
Lexington, KY -- Former Wildcat guard, Jodie Meeks, has accepted a two-year deal worth about $3 million to play for the Los Angeles Lakers. On Thursday, Meeks had said, through his agent, he would not accept the veteran minimum. Meeks will now join the likes of 'Superman' Dwight Howard, and former NBA MVP Steve Nash. The arrival of Meeks to the Lakers means L.A. is getting a much needed outside threat to go along with Kobe Bryant.
Last season, Meeks who played for the Philadelphia 76ers, averaged a career-high 37% from three-point range in the last two years. Meeks averaged nearly 8.5 points per game in 25 minutes of action a season ago. The former Wildcat marksman did play in all 66 games, starting 50. Meeks’ second year is a team option.

$1.5 million a year to live in LA and play for a cinch playoff team sounds good to me.

Meeks will contribute.
Lakers have been searching for a consistent 3 pt threat since they traded Valdimir Radmonvic.
Vujacic didn't pan out, Blake isn't working out, Meeks better be getting some shots up right now lol

Good sign for the Lakers, nice fit for Jodie.

Needed a consistent 3 point shooter last year. Meeks may not have big scoring games but he will definitely contribute.
