It has been confirmed by LCHS Shortstop Brittney Schaeffer will be signing to play for the Eastern Kentucky Lady Colonels at LCHS on 4/12/06

Does anyone have career stats on this young lady? Also, how tall is she? Does she bat Left/Right? Throw L/R? Just curious as to what D1 colleges are looking for today.

bats-r,throws-r,home-1st-3.45,home to home-12.20,5'8" hs stats career through 2005 .504 batting,.843 on base,.917 fielding pct at the ss position was recruited as a utility player because of her ability to play any position but pitcher.she is known on the summer travel circut as one of the best outfielders

congrats to a very impressive young lady.she is one of the best fastpitch players to come out of eastern ky and will no doubt earn a starting position at some point on the eku team.to play at eku's level you have to be extremely disciplined and very good at time management as coach worthington requires academic as well as athletic excellence.It is very hard to play d1 sports and maintain a good gpa without a good work ethic and I believe this girl has what it takes.those 5:00am pt's make an 8:00 class look like a breeze,good luck.
