Biden-Ryan Debate!
WideMiddle03 Wrote:biden would've won had he not been a DA and acted like a fool interrupting and smirking.
Looks like Biden gained ground in several areas.

^ you are right TRV good link
Gained ground? Perhaps not.

Wonder why CBS didn't give the full results of their poll? The only thing they show and comment on is the "uncommitted" voter. What about everyone else? It makes it seem there may have been numbers they didn't want to expose. Their headlines kinda appear to be a little on the deceptive side.
^I may be confused but isn't the uncommitted voter the only voters that the candidates are trying to gain at this point?

If I know that I have Tom, D ick and Harry locked up but Jenny, Jane and Jessica are uncommitted. What am I going to do? I will throw a proverbial bone to T, D & H every once in a while and do everything I can to gain 3J's vote.

So for me looking at polls, the only one's I study at this time of year are the uncommitted voters, ESPECIALLY the ones in swing states.

Not exactly LWC.

While I will agree with you somewhat in theory, the fact is nobody knows exactly who is for you and who is against you. I dont think there are many numbers out there that show results of previous polls for vice presidential preferences to begin with. Presidential candidates yes.The uncommitted vote is only a small percentage of the vote at this time. Not disagreeing with you at all that is an important factor, but the other polls do not just poll the uncommitted, and I am sure that CBS didn't either, so that is why I question their reluctance to show all of the results. While about all polls are broken down into subcategories that show results of uncommitted preferences and other various voter criteria, the "uncommitted" represents only a small portion of the total blend that everyone else is displaying in their polls.
^Okay. I can agree there.
Heretics like Biden cause serious harm to the Catholic Church. The Church needs to, if not excommunicate him, at least seriously reprimand him. Of course, no one has ever seen a traditional practicing Christian with the beliefs of Kardashian. He appears to be a devotee of Islam don't you think?

CBS News? What a surprise. Most all other polls indicate something quite different. Biden is, to be nice, a senile baffoon. Can you imagine him "negotiating" on behalf of the United States? He belongs in either a nursing home or in vaudeville.

Didn't John Kerry get excommunicated for similar thoughts?

Do you even consider the catholics christians? And, if you are catholic, do protestant christians consider you christian?
What in the world does that have to do with the debate???

Anyway, it would appear that the White House is hurrying to do damage control over Biden's remark about not being told that the Libyan embassy wanted more security.

Something else, too....now everyone knows that the Youtube vid had nothing to do with the attack, yet that story has just evaporated.

Harry Rex brought it up, not me. He said Biden was a heretic. I was just asking a couple of questions to see if he was a catholic, and if protestants thought he was even christian, if he was catholic. I know from previous studies of mine, that most protestants don't consider most catholics true christians. Im just wondering if this is the "bootlegger/preacher" marriage, of a wet/dry vote?

It is becoming more and more rare but there are a few of us left that do not condone Christians getting drunk. I am for local citizens having the choice to decide whether or not they want to allow the sale of alcoholic beverages in their district, town, county, etc...

I have never been 'in bed' with bootleggers, I am not trying to cater to the desires of my parishioners or by loose classification constituents, if you link those terms for this analogy.

If a voting block chooses to allow it for the growth of industry or whatever else, so be it, I wont participate and I will urge my congregation to do the same.

With that said, you will never catch me creating banners, road signs, flyers and I wont revolt or burn torches. I believe a pastor and church should use the resources spent for those anti-spirits campaigns on sharing the Word of God, feeding the homeless, helping the hurt, etc...
Joe Biden is in fact excommunicated from the Church. Canon law states that all who get abortions, and all who 'conspire' to allow it....are in fact automatically excommunicated. He should be brought before the Holy See and publicly condemned and declared ANATHEMA!

not excommunicated but should be refused sacraments until he publicly repents

Arbp. Burke also said that Catholics in public life “who persistently violate the moral law” on abortion and homosexual marriage “lead many into confusion and or even error,” which does the “gravest harm to our brother s and sisters and, therefore, to the whole nation.”
As a result, the Catholic Church employs the discipline of not giving Holy Communion or a Church funeral “to those who persist, after admonition, in the grave violation of the moral law,”

I'm glad you thought it was funny. Personally I think that kinda "stuff" is a bunch of malarky.

That was the headline of Fox.news earlier in the day.

You are one of the good guys, LWC. I was merely making an analogy of the christians that think catholics are nothing more than a cult, and catholics that think protestants aren't christians, getting in bed with Romney, claiming him to be christian, which neither have never claimed before, on a national basis anyway.
TheRealVille Wrote:Do you even consider the catholics christians? And, if you are catholic, do protestant christians consider you christian?

Your post further illustrates your ignorance. On the other hand, we can partially give you a pass since you claim no spiritual beliefs. Of course Catholics are Christians because they believe that Christ is the Son of God. If some Protestant Christians believe that Catholics are not Christians, they are, like you, ignorant.

I imagine even you would agree that Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, Episcopalians, etc. are Christians. All believe in Christ as the Son of God. However, each has somewhat different ideas as to how to practice their faith. Catholics are no different.

As for Biden, like John Kerry, Chris Matthews, Nancy Pelosi, Caroline Kennedy and most of the Kennedy clan, and many more, he should be punished by the Catholic Church. He is a heretic who causes irreparable damage to the Church because of his public persona and his blatant disregard for the teachings of the Catholic Church.

While I obviously don't speak for the Catholic Church, I would suggest that, if Biden doesn't want to practice the teachings of the Church, he should quit attending church and visit some secular museum on Sunday. That is where he belongs.

I would hope Christians of all denominations would be true to the teachings of their church, of Christ, and of the Holy Bible. Otherwise, they are no different than Biden.
While Christians may have misgivings about Mormons, I would thank that they would find Romney preferable to one whose whole life has centered around socialism and Islam. For the sincere Christian, it should be an obvious choice.

I can assure you that I'm not ignorant on the christian faith, at least on the protestant side. Of course, I'm probably not equal in christian knowledge to the "knower" of all, namely you.

As stated to Ryan, your opinion does not equal facts.

I can assure you, with 100% certainty, that mormons don't think protestant christians are going to heaven, therefore, not saved.

BTW, your "holier than thou, smarter than all" attitude doesn't bode well.
