If Pikeville was by far the better team why didn't they win? Why was both teams undefeated in district and regional play then? The answer is they weren't the better team. Lawrence has a great season and anyone that attended the game last night could tell that these two teams were evenly matched. Lawrence had way more shots on goal and when that happens, the percentages for a win go up. Both teams played very hard and left it all on the field. You can't say anything negative about both teams. A great game just leave it at that.

Even in a loss, stay classy. This is not a way to represent PHS.

Even if you do feel this way, at the end of the day the scoreboard argues otherwise and history will remember it otherwise.

The Pikeville girls had a great season, and the seniors, great careers, and have no reason to be ashamed of this loss. Reflect on the good and congratulate the victors in defeat.

Well put PT. It was a great game between two great teams. It was a cool night but a lot of fans came out and it was a good atmosphere for a highschool event. Congratulations to Pikeville on a great season.

In districts, Lawrence county beat Johnson Central, and Prestonsburg 10-0, and Prestonsburg held Pikeville to two goals. Go figure.
