The Power of a Square Deal and Nation Building!
#1
I'm relatively new to bgr and enjoy the sports side of the forum. I have recently peaked in on the political side of bgr and clap for all of you  you currently represent the gridlock that encapsulates our nation. Lot of pissing down one another legs, and my guy is better than your guy...just because...all of you are more intelligent than that.

I offer you political stalwarts this: a candidate will be voted into office soon, for starters lets focus our attention on the Presidents office...although your local city, county, and state races may more greatly impact your lives.

If you were undecided in your vote and came to this forum to determine who you would vote for why is your candidate the strongest and what assurances if any can you provide to substantiate their candidancy.

Begin thinking about how your candidate is going to "cross the aisle, and build political consensus ( if there is such a thing anymore ) !"

Wow, did you come up with that all by yourself, or does somebody assist you in your writting endeavors? Here is what I think, your relatively new arrival on BGR is entirely relative. Our nation is founded on debate and frankly, the absence of debate is largely responsible for our present predicament. Following party talking points like so many sheep. Since we must choose our president from between only two candidates, maybe you could clue us all in on all the ways in which Mr Obama has put his hand across the aisle. We know Mr Romney's record of reaching across the aisle to a state legislature with a 87% to 13% dem to republican ratio, in order to successfully govern the state of Massachusetts.

FWIW, the gridlock in the US congress is an engineered phenomenon.

When was the last time the President went to Capital Hill to work with Congress? Why does he continue to vilify the Republicans as the party of no when his party controlled Congress during his first two years? Maybe the President needed to reach out to Congress and show he was will to compromise. Be the leader, reach out across the isle

^ But that wouldn't be the Chicago way now, would it?

Do you have ANY response that doesn't include some kind of smart alec answer? You love to tout your christianity, but I never see it in your posts to people, except maybe the bible verses. Anything chistian is almost never seen in "your" words. Just sayin.......

If Romney wins, the Democrats will stonewall as they did in the Bush Administration. If Kardashian wins, the Republicans will continue to stonewall.

The country is dangerously divided and, since this election offers a capitalist against a socialist, the breach will merely grow.
#9
^unless we get a President who will truly cross the isle and reach out to the opposite party instead of beating them up in the media

Oh my bad, somebody comes on here and busts the chops of eveybody else on the board with his very first post, a thread starter no less, thereby establishing himself a lofty plateau of intellectual and moral high ground, and even though you're one of the ones he was leaning on the hardest, and you choose to try to chastise me. What does what I say, have to do with your own spiritual sted? You're responsible to God for your own life, not mine.

Where was he leaning on me the hardest? Show the part of the thread?

Just because he busts chops, does that give you a right to smart off in an unchristian like manner? I'm not religious, and don't claim to be in my posts, unlike you.

Thanks for the responses. The feedback has been enlightening. This independent will choose to stick to sports.

Best wishes and continued success on the " healthy " debate! May it lead to square deals down the road...

LOL, you're not religious but, you're an expert on what christianity is supposed to look like, right?

What part of "all of you" did you not understand from this excerpt; "and clap for all of you you currently represent the gridlock that encapsulates our nation." Maybe I missed something, but to me, you're the main torch bearer for the left on here. Therefore, since it takes at least two to tango, you get to be first in line for your half of the gridlock. Anything else I can help you with?

I'm not a christian, and don't want to be, but I can tell a fake christian from a mile away. Ask the christians on board here if your mouth is spitting words to other people that are christian like. If being a christian is acting like you do to people, I will take my chance without christianity. BTW, before I professed no christian religion in me, I had an associates degree in biblical studies, so yes I know how christians should act toward their fellow man.

All of you means just what it says, all of us. And that's leaning on me the hardest, how?

Your point is? And, my IQ has what to do with your response to my post? Again, where did the guy lean on me the hardest? Just post where he did.

Did I ask you? TRT said the guy leaned on me the hardest. I want to know where? If you don't have a ball in the game, lay down.

Unbelievable, reread this line again and give it some more thought RV.

"I have recently peaked in on the political side of bgr and clap for all of you you currently represent the gridlock that encapsulates our nation. Lot of pissing down one another legs,"

Now reread this "you're the main torch bearer for the left on here. Therefore, since it takes at least two to tango, you get to be first in line for your half of the gridlock. Anything else I can help you with?"

Spirit 100's observation, one more time, " I have recently peaked in on the political side of bgr and clap for all of you you currently represent the gridlock that encapsulates our nation. Lot of pissing down one another legs, "

Are you really that ignorant that you can't figure out what "all of you" means?

I had high hopes that TRT wasn't as ignorant as his posts made him out to be. I guess I was about a mile off on that one.

You're big on asking others on here what they think, try your luck.

You still don't want to elaborate on what " all of you" means? Let's talk IQ, I can figure out what "all of you" means pretty easy, and I only range in the 120's, where does that put you?

Look, you want to have yourself an identity crisis, go ahead. I don't have anything to prove to you or anybody else. Unlike you, I just can't make myself come on here and brag about how much money I have, how big an IQ I have, how great I am in every way. Let me guess, you went on-line and took an IQ test and they told you how smart you are.

Okay, all of you means something when you put those words in context. Spirit 100 basically put all of us into two groups. One for Romney, one for Obama. Haven't left you behind yet I trust? You are voice numero uno for Obama, which puts you squarely up front on the Obama leg pee'ers team. Now, whoever you put in the captain's chair for the Romney debaters doesn't matter, whether that be me or Hoot or whoever, because nobody on your side of the argument puts as much effort into defending O as you do. Hence, "you are one of the one's that he leaned on the hardest." There, was that so hard?

So, you are really saying you were full of shit when you were saying he was leaning heavier on me? Just show where he was, in his "all of you" statement.
