How clean is solar energy? Check out the article below.

The solar industry is credited with supplying just 1 percent of America's electricity, yet between 2007 and mid 2011 in the state of California, the solar industry produced over 46 millions pounds to hazardous waste producing parts for solar panels. "Several solar energy experts said they have not calculated the industry's total waste and were surprised at what the records showed".

In other words, as it always does, that "dirty" coal still seems to be the best thing for both enviromental and economical reasons.
