Toddler Shot in the Mouth By Another Child

4-year-old northern Kentucky girl has been hospitalized after being shot in the mouth by another child.

Kentucky State Police said Sarah Marie Courtney of Port Royal, which is about 50 miles north of Louisville, was shot last night with a .38 caliber revolver.

Courtney was flown to Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville just after 7 p.m. last night with what troopers described as possible life-threatening injuries. Her current condition is not known.

The name of the other child has not been released and no charges have been filed.

State police said the case would be turned over to Henry County Attorney Virginia Harrod for review.

Parents need to keep their guns where the kids can't get to them... there's too many accidents like this happening... I hope the little girl gets well

Man parents really need ot be more safe when it comes to guns or anything deadly. Hope this child gets well soon.
