Danica to follow Juan Pablo to Nascar?

Danica, I love you baby, but you cannot leave the IRL. Good lord open wheel racing has already lost a ton of fans in the last decade, if you leave, open wheel racing will be in serious trouble....

I love Juan Montoya's move to Nascar. It's pretty much accepted by me from following F1 this year that Montoya has fallen out of favor with the teams and drivers in the series. He is aggresive in a series where that is looked down upon more than any of the others. F1 is more technology based, and in all honesty its' not made for a Juan Montoya. I wish he had decided to go to IRL and join his old buddy Chip in that series, but he will give me a reason to watch Nascar in the future.

If Danica leaves, I'll be watching Nascar and following it on a weekly basis. I love open wheel racing, but it's going to be as relevant as womens basketball if they cannot merge the two series and keep Danica. If I am Tony George, I get my act together....

If a Nascar race is on and an open wheel race is on at the same time, I'm taking the Open Wheel every time. Just like the racing more....

Used to loveeee Nascar when Dale Earnhardt was around, but there for a couple years after his death it was just downright boring to me. I'm starting to come back around to it, but IRL, Champ Car, and F1 is much much better....

Danica would do Nascar good, heard on the radio she has been talking with Rousch racing, could take Mark Martin's place.

Nascar is the place to be, and these moves would just make it more fun to watch IMO.

I thought Roush already hired someone to take Martins spot. Last I heard they had hired Todd Kleuver to take over. He raced this past weekend at Chicagoland, but finished way back.

It's obvious to me that it's more of her parent decision to want her to move to NASCAR, she went on the record on a Budweiser Hot Seat spot on Sportscenter a while back promoting her book that she didn't want to do NASCAR...

Her parents are also her managers, they see $$$. Danica makes alot in IndyCar, and I'm not going to be noisy but I'd say she makes her fair share in endorsements as well (Secret, other products)....

Danica posted in her blog saying she has no plans to leave indycar at this time, she wants to win a race ("the 500"), but Nascar is certainly something she's looking too in the future....

God love this women....

If she was a man, she would never even be looked at. She can't even win in the league that she is in!

No one is going to beat Ganassi or Penske in the IRL this season, they are just too far ahead of everyone in speed. To say she has no chance to win in the IRL in the future is flat ignorant IMO, seeing her race in the last year and a half, she has proved to me what kind of driver she is....

Rahal-Letterman had been using the slower Panoz chassis up until the Texas race last month (Panoz was actually faster last year), so the odds of her adjusting and being able to win a race this year is obviously low....

And who wouldn't want Danica to be one of their drivers? She's marketable, she will bring sponsership with her, and she doesn't tear up race cars. I dont think she's wrecked one while in the IRL...

Did anyone catch the comments by Ed Carpenter on Danica? He said she'd be perfect for Nascar's aggressive driving, especially during that "time of the month"... absolutely cracked me up all day, the man said what us men have always thought....

I love how Danica took it as well, it was a joke, nothing more, and she was a sport about it. Anyone that takes a joke seriously like that has serious problems...

As much as I love open wheel racing, I'd love her in Nascar (so would the big wigs in Nascar). If she wants in, she'll get a ride, and a good ride (Roush or Yates probably).

Half the problem with her this year has been the dominance of Penske and Ganassi in IRL. She was with the slower Panoz chassis most of the year (switched at Texas). Last year, when Rahal-Letterman was a top 2 or 3 team, she had 3 poles. She can race...

Again, I think she stays in IRL for the time being, but in 2 or 3 years she'll make the switch....

And will be just a name! WILL NEVER BE COMPETITIVE just like the rest of the drivers who always try to race against the Nascar races in all of these charity races. THE NASCAR MEN DOMINATE..STATS DON'T LIE!

I'd bet anyone 10 bucks Montoya wins a Nascar race next year....

Danica isn't going to leave IRL, it was a slow week and ESPN needed something to talk about, entirely overblown. Hornish, Wheldon, several others have looked into Nascar either this year or in the past and it go 0 play....

I look for her to sign with Andretti Green Racing for next season, or re-sign with Rahal-Letterman...

Danica will never leave the Indy Car series ! She is the only reason why I watched the Indianapolis 500 the past two years ! Juan Pablo will be look like a still duck out there in Nascar !
