For the 56th district it comes down to the May 13 game between Powell and Estill (Played @ Estill)....Both are 4-1 in district play....both teams need to win to get the 1 seed....Powell won 4-0 earlier in the year but since Powell lost to Lee, it wouldn't matter what the score would be if Estill was to beat them...that would make Powell with 2 losses being at 4-2 and Estill would improve to 5-1....If Powell wins then it's Powell 5-1 and Estill 4-2...

The reason I put Estill ahead of Lee in district's is because (even tho Lee has the better district record) Estill went to Lee and won 18-3.

The 54th will be determined this week. Knott will probably end up with 2 seed. Knott plays Cordia and June Buchanon tomorrow and will play Jenkins later in the week. KNott has beat Jenkins butt lost to Cordia and Cordia has lost to Jenkins. KNott has played much better as of late and I look for them to end up with the 2 seed.

Last week of the season! Who are some teams that surprised most? Who was most improved team? Who was a disappointment? Any team out there that will be looking for a new coach? Are there any coach possibly looking to go elsewhere? Thoughts?

Jenkins defeated KNott tonight, so in the 54th Jenkins gets the 2 seed and Knott the 3 seed. Knott struggled tonight with the glove. Several errors haunted the Pats and I cant remember the last time a Knott Co team lost to Jenkins and Cordia in the same year. Knott is dangerous with Cornett on the mound but when he is not pitching they just arent a good baseball team. I look for Knott to beat Jenkins in the district with Cornett pitching and Knott will be a tough first game of the region with Cornett on the mound and playing at home. This Knott Co team will be solid next yr with Cornett and the rest of the nucleus back and could make some noise. They have a couple young kids with Stephens and Jacobs at the middle school level and they have some more middle school kids kids coming up up that will make them tough. In 2 yrs this Knott team will be tough.
