Utah puts same-sex marriages on hold
#1
The Supreme Court has put a halt to same-sex marriages in Utah. The big surprise to all of this is that liberal justice Sonia Sotomayor (appointed by Obama) played a major role in this. This is the second time in the past week she has played a major role leaning on the conservative end of an issue, such as when she also played a role in putting a halt on the Obamacare requirement for Churches.

I saw a poll recently that showed same-sex marriage being supported by an estimated 27% in Utah, the lowest of any state. It's still almost double from what it was in a poll conducted in the mid-90's. If Utah's ban doesn't stand, it's over. The entire nation will allow gay marriage within 1-2 years if that's the case because Utah is arguably the most conservative state. If it officially becomes legalized in Utah, it will be legalized everywhere else.

Voters approved a constitutional ban in 2004...yet an activist judge recently put an end to it. Hopefully the Supreme Court will come through for once and let the state's amendment stand.

The fact that this perverted behavior has become "cool," especially among the youth, is disturbing.

^27% is a low approval rate alright but, I believe even that number is inflated. I don't doubt for a second that it is the majority of Americans who completely disagree with abortion rights and gay rights. Part of the haze job liberals are running right now, is in the selling of what they report to be overwhelming support for their agenda, by a majority of Americans. There is little value in the manipulated polls the liberals continually cite as proof they are the normal ones, while the true offenders are supposedly those who honor God with their lives. :please: I'm telling you, it's bizarro world out there! Baby boomers will regret their lack of courage where it comes to speaking out against the things they know are patently immoral, both in this world and at the judgment.

You're watching America slide into a sort of apathetic cultural numbness. Nobody seems to give a darn. Not even the Church.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV)
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

With the breakdown of the family we see that society in general suffers from a lack of "natural affection." Parents these days in many cases, are nothing more than government funded (and phoned) roving mobs of party animals. Kids don't even know who their daddy is and, in many cases, brothers and sisters have different unidentified fathers. No wonder many among us are without natural affection. It seems like a simple thing to grow up in a caring and nurturing family setting. But, we see how convoluted society has become only a couple generations removed from the time we stopped holding fathers responsible for their own actions. At some point decent folks will tap out and no matter how oppressive Uncle Sam's tax measures are, there won't be enough money to feed the throngs of takers. Evil, like cancer, will eventually consume every healthy facet of our society. Simply put, we have already reached the tipping point and can no longer afford to pay for the sins of our brothers.

During the Johnson administration there were a scant 360 thousand people on food stamps across this land. Now there are over 47 MILLION. Many of whom get the whole round of entitlements, housing, food, health care, paid utilities etc. In fact the situation is much worse than the food stamp numbers indicate. The actual numbers are much worse for 2014 but as of 2011, those who take from the government already outnumbered those who pay taxes by about 7 million. "There were 108,592,000 people in the United States in the fourth quarter of 2011 who were recipients of one or more means-tested government benefit programs, the Census Bureau said in data released this week. Meanwhile, according to the Census Bureau, there were 101,716,000 people who worked full-time year round in 2011. That included both private-sector and government workers." - See more at: http://cnsnews.com/news/article/terence-...pZuVQ.dpuf

Logic dictates that at some point very soon the ratio of those expecting cradle to grave entitlements will outstrip the working class' ability to fund, whether by taxes or any other government perpetrated oppression. The world is literally crashing down around our ears and what is the object of your federal government's obsessive compulsive disorder? More and more, federally mandated hand outs. This administration reminds me of the band that played on the decks of the Titanic until the cold sea water lapped at their feet. Talk about misplaced priorities.

BTW, when you hear Dems lambasting conservatives, accusing them of all manner of lies and deceit. Just remember the last of verse 3 above; "despisers of those that are good"

Ive always said, let the states decide. If you want something move to a state that offers it.
Don't make a majority in one state abide by stuff they don't want.

That's no different than Colorado legalizing pot.
If its a federal law that its illegal, then why can Colorado do it?
If gay marriage is federally upheld, then how is it that states cant go against it?

Clear double standard here.
