They are working with NC Legislators asking not to make up the days missed. The majority of the counties east of Raleigh have not been in school since September 10 or 11. We didn't start school until August 27.

Wow!! Some kids could potentially miss the whole semester! I saw a couple of schools on TV that looked totally destroyed.
