When you boot up a machine with Windows 98 as your operating system, Windows will pause for approximately 2 second during boot to allow you to press a start-up key. If you want to boot up quicker, you can easily remove this pause. To do this:
* Locate your MSDOS.SYS file. (Usually in your C:\ directory)
* Open the File.
* Locate the [Options] section.
* Under [Options], add the line BootDelay=0
* Save the file.
* Locate your MSDOS.SYS file. (Usually in your C:\ directory)
* Open the File.
* Locate the [Options] section.
* Under [Options], add the line BootDelay=0
* Save the file.
