False Ads
#1
Just some food for thought.

Everybody on both sides of the aisle, scream foul play around election time with false and misleading ads. Millions and millions are spent on them here in Ky alone.

My question is, if this is truly the case, and people who swear that an attack ad is downright lying about them, why don't they sue these PACs or other candidates for slander?

Is it the way the ads are worded? Ive noticed that in most ads, they either use clips of the other candidate and take there words out of context, but that candidate none the less said those words.

What are the options here?

Do false ads include false editorials? If so, the Courier-Journal should be number one on the list. In its editorial endorsing Clueless Barbie, it said that she was "intelligent". You can't lie much more than that.

^^ Not to mention the Bluegrass Poll. Which had clueless leading McConnell at one point while the RCP average had her down 6 1/2.
