Rusev... why is he getting such a major push?

There are no "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan's....
There are no Hulk Hogan's...
There are no Lex Luger's....

No major "Patroit" characters to defend the U.S.A. like there was in the late 80's/early90's when Sgt. Slaughter or Yokozuna was on their anti-American push.

Most of his matches/promos have been squashes.

So why is he getting such a major push?

It's either that or keep pushing the same old stuff.

Like you said - there's no big patriotic guy.

First you thought Swagger might knock him off... then surely Mark Henry would beat him at a PPV... then The Big Show... then Sheamus has to defend the title against him.

They've used every big guy on the roster with the exception Kane and Khali.
Maybe the Undertaker?
Who knows?

Rusev is actually pretty great, he can go in the ring. Very agile for a big man.

Plus...Lana. Superb pairing.
