The sport of wrestling is growing.

I know Region 8 has a new team this year.

Pikeville High School has a wrestling team this season. From what I've been told, they competed in their first ever meet this past Saturday at the Phelps Invitational meet. They are a young team with only one senior.


I would like to see several other schools East of Lexington pick up the sport.

Yeah, they competed at phelps this past weekend, they did well for a first year team. They have a great coach in Mitch. They will very tough by the end of the season.

The more wrestling teams in KY the better. it is a great sport. Nothing in the world like watching a kid get his first win, or watching two highly ranked kids go at it.
