That is a LONG drive for Wayne Co. Been there...done that.

Wayne Co. is a scrappy bunch but I think JC will be too much. The main thing for JC is to come out of this game clean...no injuries. Last year, injuries in this game prevented an already injured backfield from being competitive in BG.

Wow I hope Wayne County shows up, maybe they don't read message boards. Johnson Central has an excellent football team and should be the favorites, but 50-7, 49-12, 48-14??????? These same two programs played last year and it was a one score game that Wayne had the ball inside the JC 45 with less than 90 seconds to play. I just hope Wayne County doesn't cancel the trip and tells Johnson Central to head on over to BG. Should be a pretty good football game in my opinion, Johnson and five or six touchdowns?? Take me to Vegas on any of that. No interest in starting a week long argument on the history of "mountain football" but I think Wayne has been to just as many state championship games as JC.......one.

For only the 3rd time in school history, JC is playing a football game past Thanksgiving day.

I remember a very young bunch kids (who are now seniors & juniors) playing their own football game in the back of the end zone on a cold night in 2006 vs. Covington Catholic. That game was JC's first ever state semi final football game in Class 3A.

Everybody around the middle school and high school football programs said this senior and junior class was gonna be special. And so far, they've lived up to the hype. These kids have been to the promise land..... no way they let their team mates over look Wayne County and not finish the job they started last year.

I haven't watched Wayne Co play this year, but I have seen Johnson Central play, and the one thing that impresses me about JC is their consistency. They never stop! Like a dog on a bone! LOL

I think this will be a classic contest, but I see the Eagles pulling it out!

Johnson Central and Wayne County have only played one time in the past. It was @ Wayne County for the 2015 Class 4A state semi final.
