(16) Georgetown College 24 Bluefield 13
#1
Twice in three games, and on both road trips, Georgetown College football has scored on a blocked field goal. Saturday's against Bluefield College helped to keep the Rams (1-3) from gaining momentum after a quick score.

The No. 16 Tigers (3-0) had another solid first two drives, converted multiple third downs and a fourth down as well to help them grab a 9-0 advantage – extra point was missed wide. However, following a Daric Pugh 2-yard touchdown, Tyler Dummer's first kick was nullified by an off sides call. His second kick was returned 76 yards to the GC 20.

The next play, Rashad Butler busted up a 20-yard run in the middle and it was 9-6 with an extra point coming. Momentum seemed to be shifting until Dustin Haraway blocked and returned the try for two-points and an 11-6 game.
GC scored two more touchdowns in a methodical approach and staved off the surging Rams, who scored late in the fourth quarter and were driving to make it just a four-point game in the waning moments.

Riley Hall struggled to find targets, going 19-of-40 on the day, but when he connected the visitors picked up large chunks of yardage – 203 total. The ground attack was not too shabby either, gaining 215 yards. Pugh rushed seven times for 97 yards and Bond 17 times for 84 yards.

This is the team's first 3-0 start since 2014, as the last year the Tigers were in the national playoffs. Next up for the Tigers is No. 21 Cumberland University 1:30 pm at Toyota Stadium.
