14th Region

rawlingsfan Wrote:Bold statement. Unfortunatley, with no seeding in the 54th district the Commodores could be facing Devin Morris and Hazard just to advance to the regional tournament.

You could basically have set the field on Feb. 15th for the rest of the regional tournament teams:
53rd- KCC/LCC
55th- Breathitt/Jackson
56th- Powell/Estill

55th district has to be about the weakest district in the state. I think Letcher is much better than people thought.

Well Powell did have a kid hit a 2 run ding dong off Knott. you can’t say they ain’t consistent this early. they aren’t slackers.

1. Hazard 6-2 by far the strongest team top to bottom
2. PCC 8-1 really good team (but not on par with Hazard) but may have a slight edge in pitching
3. Knott 6-5 beat Powell
4. Powell 6-3 beat Estill and Letcher but lost to KCC
5. Letcher 5-5 lost to Powell but beat a really good Johnson Central team
6. Estill 5-3 lost to Powell
7. Breathitt 5-5 beat the teams they were supposed to and lost to the others
8. Leslie 5-5 lost to the top 6/7 and beat the bottom 5/6
9. Jackson City 3-2 beat wolfe (twice) and cordia
10. Buckhorn 1-4 beat red bird

Hazard is very good, but I don't see them being better than Perry 'by far' imho.

Powell has put some good wins on the board. I just think the loss to Knott was a bad one.

My top teams as of now:

1. Hazard
2. Perry

3. Letcher
4. Powell
5. Estill
6. Knott

7. Breathitt
8. Leslie
9. Jackson City
10. Buckhorn

I don't see much difference between Hazard and Perry. Both are solid clubs all the way through and both teams have good pitching. In the middle of the pack would be Letcher, Powell, Estill, and Knott. The lowest group have a lot of work to do.

I don’t think hazard is better than perry, just due to the fact they only have one solid pitcher. Anyone else would have to catch perry or even letcher IMO on a horrible day to beat them.
