State of the Union

The President's SOTU Address was clear minded and timely. He was met with support from the Republican side, but with the exception of Joe Manchin, all Democrats could offer was head shaking, scoffs, scowls, jeers and overt contempt. In fact, the only time the white clad sisterhood of imaginary suffrage rose to their feet, was to applaud themselves. And after all, their base was silly enough to send them to Congress in the first place, so why try to hide anything, right? People who work for a living made the conscious choice to elect those who have promised to raise their taxes. And the thing that blows my mind is that fact that those same candidates promised faithfully and openly to give the resultant proceeds of those increased taxes to come, to those whom rather than to work, choose instead to lay in bed every day and collect their government checks. Now, if you can explain that one to me please feel free. And it would appear that we might want to avail ourselves of our freedoms while we still can.

Thanks to the fact that we now have a Democrat House, here is what we can expect looking forward in the next two years. Congress will not ratify USMCA. And IF we are successful in negotiating an agreement with China, Congress will shoot that down too. Military spending will very likely drop off a cliff. Trump will continue to be 'investigated,' while murderous abortion bills will continue to sweep this land in the same manner as did homosexual rights legislation. I mean, people have the right to jump off a cliff too I suppose. That doesn't mean the Supreme Court should declare them a class, and that their partners should be awarded spousal benefits. It happened in the case of the former anyway though.

Strap in and pass the monkey puke. The ridiculousness is about to begin. Again.

It was the best SOTU in years...the dems are doing huge harm to themselves by siding with the radicals and socialists. And they have lost the ability to be diplomatic and compromise. Both parties can be accused of this!

Our countries majority is in the middle and we choose wisely more times than not. Between abortion legislation in NY and the record of the current Virginia gov and lt. gov and the ridiculousness of the outspoken dems getting a lot of publicity.

It's just a matter of time before our nation imposes legislation requiring both parties to find common ground for the betterment of the Nation, not their selfish political desires!

I thought Trump knocked the SOTU out of the park. Although Trump is not a great orator, the speech was very well written and Trump's delivery and timing were spot on. I saw many Democrats applauding at lines that were intended to force all but the kookiest among them to applaud. AOC and Bernie were among the exceptions and I thought Trump made them look like the fools that they are.

Who in their right mind would refuse to applaud human traffickers getting locked up or the line that America is a free country and it will remain a free country?
