Hayes Hamilton truly knew basketball and he coached it well. He helped develop some great talent that went on to Betsy Layne. He's been out of teaching/coaching 20 years. I am surprised he never got back in coaching as an assistant. I've seen him at several Betsy Layne games over the years and I know he enjoys the game a great deal.

With all of the consolidations and such going, it is nice that John M. Stumbo is still open. Between some of the Mud Creek area kids going to Betsy Layne or South Floyd, I am surprised they've not closed it yet.
