My final thoughts for the year....
Now that baseball is broke into sectionals, here is what should happen.
Do away with districts. They are useless.
Everybody in the region plays once. Rotate home and away every year.
Teams with best 4 records go to region.
Best 3 out of 5 in both rounds. First round the first week (when district is usually played) and championship series best 3 out of 5 when region week is supposed to happen.

This will give you a real champion each year and not rely on blind draws.

I like the idea overall with some tweaks. When I played sectionals was best of 3 and I loved it. I like your idea but do it best of 3. 5 for HS game is to much. By doing that you could bring the 8 best from the region. Which to me is pretty fair.

I agree with that

It would keep teams from benefitting from a ridicolous blind draw though. Its unnecessary in this day and age.
