Wolfe County beats Perry Co Central 12-1 to win the 14th region.

The Lady Wolves took control early scoring 4 runs in the first 2 innings and Perry never threaten. Wolfe broke it open in the 5th on a 3 run HR by Nellie Lumpkins. Carly Creech went the distance allowing only 1 run in the 5th. The Wolves move on to take on Clay County tomorrow at 1pm in Berea in the semi state round of the State Tournament.

I said it in a previous post.
Benny Campbell is the best coach in the 14th region.
Won their 5 post season games 56-14
Perry came into this game beating 2 really good teams in Knott and Estil.
But this game was never really close.
And Wolfe will return their entire starting lineup going into next season.

Great win for Wolfe. I saw someone a couple days ago said, PCC had the best pitcher, coach, and catcher. If so, how'd you get mercied? Just sayin lol. I'd argue Wolfe has the best in the region at all 3. Great win for WC. Glad to see that the guys and gals at WC have finally won a region!! They have some great people down there. Congrats!!

Wolfe will be the number one team going in next year. I was very happy for Benny as the chips fell for him to win his first regional title. He's not done yet and I look for him to get another next year.
